My heart goes out to you and your family. I didn’t know your father, but I have spent the last few hours reading about your family’s journey out of the Watchtower from his thread " Torn Apart". At times it gave me tears of joy and other times tears of sadness. But mostly it allowed me to get to know your father. He was a special man who loved his family very much and genuinely cared about others. . He was compassionate and kind. The world is a lesser place without him.

i need to let you know that dad passed away this morning at 8am.
he fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure.

he wasnt forbidden from eating the flesh of an animal that had died of natural causes.

All that wonderful research proving that there is no condemnation of transfusions and yet the Governing Body still turns a blind eye. They are so blinded that truth escapes them. Millions of lives are in their decision making hands and they don’t care. It is so sickening.

Snoozy: Sorry for your loss. I experienced the same as your brother. I was very surprised that there was very little pain. After the initial few days I didn’t require any pain medicine. Never smoked. One of the few good things I received from being a JW.

Farkel: It seems incredible that anyone would make the symbol more important than the reality, but we all accepted it. When the scales on our eyes are removed everything seems so clear.

but to be fair, jw's teach that most all of these characters refer to the leadership of jehovah's witnesses, the governing body.
