I still have all of my literature, packed in a dusty closet. I might toss it one day but don't think I could burn it. Wonder if that mean I still have issues.

Field Service Book Bag
by Pinned Blouse infor those that no longer go to the kh --i was curious as to what you have done with your field service bookbag?.
for a long time i could not look at it without feeling guilty, then a couple of times i looked at with contempt.... after awhile it mysteriously ended up in the dumpster including... the books, tracts, wt's, awakes, and return visits slips that was in it.. where is your bookbag right now?.

Wow! Funny how a little piece of information can reveal a lot about someone's personality.
Now I'm just concerned with propane and propane accessories. -- Confusedjw, that got me laughing. I always thought Arlen was just like the little Texas town I grew up in.

I'll start. My mother, 2nd gen jw, had always wanted to have a daughter named Penelope Candace, and call her Penny Candy. Thank goodness my siblings and I ended up with pretty normal names anyway. As I am obviously not the saintly organizationally-minded daughter she hoped I would be, my username is sort of a tribute to the daughter she didn't have.

Hello Danny. Hello Slipinslide. Nice to meet everyone.
Edge3, I think I've been to Cypress, most hung around SE of Houston.
Thanks for the welcome Ohio and Obviously and Sassy.
Mulan, Austin is a few hours away. I've been there though.
Bryan, yes, your area is where I spring from. I'm familiar with the Hall on Lucas in Beaumont and pretty sure I remember the Know's. I think the Peyton's also went there? Your name doesn't ring a bell, but maybe we went to the same party or something in the 80's! We used to go to Beaumont to find something to do. Pretty sad, huh? And when we were really ambitious we'd drive up to Houston. I'll pm you when I find out what that is and how to do it.
Xena, I think I DID see a spark when I touched one of Valis' dreadlocks!
I'm afraid I won't be able to partake in any apostasizing this weekend. I have to go and spend the weekend in a cabin on the lake. Awwwwwww, shucks. But I'll be thinking about you guys.

Hi, Valis.
Yep, Stephanie, Elsewhere is my cousin. We grew up together, along with many many aunts and uncles and cousins. I know Elsewhere is a naughty heathen, but I hope you?ll let me stay anyway : )

Hi, guys. I've occasionally lurked around here for a year or so but have visited more frequently lately so I thought it time I intro myself. I was a 3rd gen JW, married to a JW for many years, divorced, remarried a non-JW, and am now raising little non-JW's. My family is still in, except two of my siblings are inactive. I'm doing the fade-away thing, succesfully so far, which is surprising considering I talk to my mom and siblings regularly. My mom always talks about meetings and the "friends", but rarely asks me questions about my own involvment. I assume she just thinks I'm being lazy in not going to meetings, and maybe if she keeps mentioning the "truth", I'll feel guilty enough to grow up and do what I should be doing. After all, I've got kids whose everlasting lives are in my hands!
Anyway, I consider myself a born-again Christian and am coming to know God in a positive, personal way I never thought possible. I love reading all the different views and opinions on this forum and have learned something from everyone. Before going to Cruzenheart and Big Tex's a few weeks ago, the only apostate I'd ever met was Elsewhere, who by the way is my cousin. Yo, Elsewhere! To my surprise, I didn't see any horns or thunder and lightening or 666's anywhere. Just warm, friendly people who really know how to eat crawfish!
I've been out for three years now and never knew life could be so good. I still have issues, of course, but think I have been able to move on pretty well, considering.
Forgive me if I seem ignorant of current threads or ask questions already answered. I have three little ones and they give me little time to surf the net. Also forgive me for not giving too much personal information. My family means a lot to me and I hope to avoid the shunning that so many of you good people have to endure. You definitely have my sympathies and support.
Boy, I never realized I could shrink my complicated life down to such a small nutshell. Anyway, I may not be able to post very often, but I hope I can occasionally have something to offer you guys.
Is anyone where from SE Texas? Maybe I grew up with somebody here.
