  Just had to have my cat put down! :(

  i had to have my 7 year old persian puddy.

  kashmir, put down on sunday.. poor thing was crying all the time and would hardly move, so i took him to the emergency vet.

  he had a huge tumour blocking his intestines.

  i truly hope there are people "out there" somewhere who do not lie to themselves.. but, i suspect everybody does.. we might lie to ourselves about our weight, our looks, our prospects--anything--it seems to be "only human" to do so.. what do you lie to yourself about?

  CDC: 36,000 people in US will die from killer virus before next summer!!!

  if you thought the terrorist act on sept 11, 2001 that killed 3000 people was bad... just wait until this killer virus is released onto the population... and the cdc says that it will happen and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it!.

  that's right... every year 20,000 to 36,000 people die from the flu.

  if terrorists were to kill as many people with a virus the world would be outraged... markets would crash... and countries would go to war.

  I have been told that almost every generation in history has experienced some sort of horrid epidemic. I can only hope that we have advanced enough that we could prevent / contain / generally keep under control anything that would come about in our day.

  Scary! Although I heard last year that the flu shot developed was ineffective against the particular strain that was going around.

  Who Does Jehovah Resemble?

  as a small boy, i pictured jehovah as resembling finlay currie, the kindly old boy who played roles in solomon & sheba and the 10 commandments.. .

  later on, probably thanks to paul hogans influence, i started to picture jehovah as resembling charlton heston.. .

  i still picture him as a bearded gentleman, wearing a dressing gown and sandals, surrounded by billowing clouds.. then again if i think of the creator, or lord, he doesn't seem to be the same entity as jehovah.. strange, isn't it?.

  newsworld has explained to me that having the protest rally at 2:00pm does not give them enough time to make the six oclock news.

  i have changed the time of the rally to start at 12:00 noon and end at 4:00pm.
