  Letter From Society Say Going To a JW/Non-JW Wedding Has Consequences!

  my mother called me in a tizzy saying that her friend heard that letters were read and a talk was given in 2 different congregations saying that the society's new policy is that if a elder, m.s.

  or pioneer attends an "unequaled" wedding----they will be removed from their exemplary positions because they are "disloyal to jehovah god"........what do you think about this one?

  I am surprised to hear these stories of JWs attending non JW weddings. I do not question the truthfulness it's just that it is so incredibly different from the attitudes of the JWs I met. I have often heard of the large differnces in attitudes amongst JWs depending on geographic areas. Clearly some are far more fundamental (or radical) than others

  This is 100% true!

  Meet Jw's from Cali and NY and compare them to Jw's from Texas throughout the midwest! you WILL SEE NIGHT AND DAY DIFFRENCE!

  I tell you that depending on the situation I have seen many diffrent things.

  My sister studied with JW's for 1 year, and when she got married my mom was told by elderette "a" not to go! My mom, and family went anyway (just stayed in the rear of the church). No sanctions were done to us!

  I recently attended a wedding (non JW) of my study that did not want to get baptized. Nobody said a whoot to me. I even at the grooms request (even though the ceremony was done by a priest) performed a prayer before dinner (I substituted God for Jehovah though). Nobody in the congregation had to know the details, and my wife seemed not to care

  No Trespassing!! Breaking news for local JW's.

  this week at the book study, at all congregations in the u.s., a letter was read saying if you go to a house or property with a "no trespassing" sign, you must not enter, or knock on the door.

  you have to leave immediately.

  a sign saying "no solicitors" is too ambiguous, and they are to use their own judgment, and don't have to knock.

  Like the story of the witness family from africa that had a choice on whether

  to work on their field or go to the assembly! Guess what they chose?

  I remember experiences told to us at the stage of foreign country "x" where

  no Jehovah's Witness stickers were put at the door. Well the witnesses knocked

  anyway.... The moral? The speaker said that the householder did not even know

  the sticker/placard was there! And that the local priest was putting them on the door!

  I guess the rules are diffrent depending on the country?

  Well the law is crappy!

  If you bring someone to civil court only, then the law is OK

  But if you fail in criminal court, the civil trial should not be allowed, especially when you will not

  testify in crimimal court costing tax payers over $200k! You don't think she is going to be

  put on the stand and grilled in civil court?

  She was also paid almost $20k in money as a sexual victim (fund) she really cost citizens money!

  I was told by the C.O. at the meeting he has with Elders and MS when he comes over for his visit

  "If you go to a celebration/get together/wedding/dinner/etc..... and there is a disfellowshipped person

  in the midst, you must leave or risk your consequences".

  There is much more said by the direct orders, than printed on paper!

  Tell me something, which loyal dub would risk their position for what they

  might feel themselves? position including pioneering means the world to them

  No KHalls for Hurricane relief

  eldubs in florida (maybe elsewhere too) have been told that the kingdom halls should not be used for relief efforts or for shelters.

  liability and insurance issues were stated as the reason.. will try and get a copy of this letter.. of course the kingdom halls are supposed to be the center of true worship and a place of comfort but i guess only in fair weather.

  what a crock.

  But I feel fear for the reasons I outlined above. Law is imperfect and good "actors" can make you believe

  I remember when I got hit by a hurricane, that I got:

  a big plastic tub, couple bottles of bleach, cleaning soluctions, and towels. I can't

  recall the organization, but I remember that even though these items cost very

  little, they were helpful to keep hygienic..... They also gave written educational

  material on how to stay safe this way!

  You can't compare the WT way to these guys! (WT way.... Left hand out to you, while Right hand extended waiting to receive from you!)
