  Wheres the safest place on earth to run to!!!

  with all the bad things happening now where would be the safest place to be, for myself and and famiy i would expect that would be somewhere in the far east high above the food plain, people there also have much more repect for human life and do not leave their elders to die alone without any respect and have a much nicer famiy society and seem to be much more organised as to their affairs.. .

  The Worst jw Is Better Than The BEST Worldly Person

  did anyone else used to hear this?

  i can remember this growing up in the 1970s.

  my folks joined the wt back in 1968 under threat of armageddon coming in 1975. i was in first grade and ran the gauntlet of no flag salute, national anthem, holidays and no worldly friends.

  Jehovah's Witnesses Die In Bus Crash On Way To Meeting

  i was searching online when i came across these headlines.

  early reports say that as many as 27 jws died in a bus crash in ecuador while on their way to a meeting a couple of weeks ago.

  Message at yesterdays assembly

  a relative of mine was at the assembly yesterday and was appalled at the message givien before lunch:.

  she heard them blast higher education...then warn to not miss meetings for work...then they gave the stupidest illustration i ever heard- they said that it is true that supporting your family is important...but not to give it too much importance and said it is like trying to cross a busy street.

  they said if you see a car a long distance off it is ok to cross, if you are too careful you will never cross the street.

  my kids already have $50g's in their college fund with my (jw) wife's blessing.

  the JW brainwashing has only got 10% of her brain.............. she says that under no circumstance are they gonna get university where they sleep over in a dorm!

  I'm gonna get most of what I want. she has her demand!

  an appendix in the book contains some 120 questions along with hundreds of scriptural "proof texts" that the proselyte is then expected to study.

  12 jesus commanded his followers to baptize new disciples in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit.

  More "Elders" Doubt They Are Appointed By The "Holy Spirit"!

  the study edition of the watchtower says the elders are appointed by jehovah's holy spirit.

  it's confounding the society does not realize that more and more elders, do not accept this claim.

  i have racked my brain, wondering how many brothers and sisters actually believe this, fall hook and sinker.

  New here...need some support

  first of all i am happy to be here..this site has been an invaluable tool which helped me get to the point where i am today.

  i was born and raised as a jehovah's witness and i am now 30 yrs old.

  my entire family are die hard witnesses; pioneers, elders, bethel etc.

  I'm sort of in the same position.

  My wife knows all my doubts, she even knows I come to this site (just told me to get it off the screen when kids are around ala Porn).

  But, she has so many die hard relatives. and, if I physically leave the witnesses, she will divorce me.
