No KHalls for Hurricane relief
by SadElder ineldubs in florida (maybe elsewhere too) have been told that the kingdom halls should not be used for relief efforts or for shelters.
liability and insurance issues were stated as the reason.. will try and get a copy of this letter.. of course the kingdom halls are supposed to be the center of true worship and a place of comfort but i guess only in fair weather.
what a crock.

In Maywood, NJ (Hackensack congregation) after Floyd '99 (KH flooded) it took 1 to 2 years to get it going and it seems
that the society DID NOT send their own help. YES the locals had to fix themselves.

Did GB Member Carl Klien gloat over Dulaps Demise??
by frankiespeakin ini'm sure we all who have read "crisis of conscience" by ray franz must have wondered if governing body member carl klein had it in for ed dunlap.
it sure seems like he was a manipulator,,he was even censored by the gb for it,, in reference to ed dunlap and even told to leave him alone.
i think we should think about it,, for a moment,, and think about how much it must have stuck in his craw,, for being censored.. .

It was interesting to note that 2 weeks ago when someone Dissasociated himself, and they were doing the
local needs talk on how to treat these people, they seemed to add a little humane thingy I've never heard before:
They said that even though we do not speak to these or associate with them, if they are in dire need (example" car
broken down and no one to help such one, we can stop to help him and should) we should help. I guess it's
more like talk and no actions, since you said his brother could not hire an old man with no way of getting
a job in the real world

JW Holocaust Survivors Account
by Netty ini was told by a very active witness, that since jw's also suffered along with the jews during the holocaust, apparently damages were paid out.
the society manages the account with the survivors money in it, and supposedly looks for the survivors, or family of the survivors to get them their money.
does anyone know anything about this.

MY BEST FRIEND KILLED ON A MOTORWAY IN ENGLAND LAST MON
by nightwarrior inmy friend was killed last week on a motorway 250 miles from home while visiting his girlfriend .
a 44 ton lorry on the opposite side of the motorway crashed through the steel barrier and demolished 2 cars .
therfore 2 familys lost there loved one, my friend left 3 children aged 18 years upwards , .

My wife showed me an article in the Watch or Awake (sept 11th samaritan works). I had to try to reason to her "You cannot write about yourself to glorify yourself"
She showed me the people being quoted inside. I said "You can make up anything"
I ask, if this was so where was the outside media writings on this?
