  As the temporary Book study overseer I have been handed a letter as follows:

  Upon receipt of this letter, book study overseers should review the following points with those in their groups:

  * Individual homeowners have a right to exclude people from their property by posting a "No Trespassing" sign.

  * If publishers call on a home or enter the grounds around a home where a "No Trespassing" sign is located, they may be subject to criminal prosecution and resulting monetary sanctions and/or incarceration. They also face being sued by the householder.

  * Such homes may be worked by means of the telephone or letter writing. See May 2003 Our Kingdom Ministry Question Box: "Communicating Through Letters," Benefit From Theocratic Ministry School Education, Pages 71-3; May 2002 Our Kingdom Ministry Question Box; "Successful Kingdom Proclaimers Use the Telephone," April 15, 1998 Watchtower, BOx on page 27; "Telephone Witnessing - A Way to Reach Many," August 1993 Our Kingdom Ministry pages 3-4;and November 1996 Our Kingdom Ministry Question Box.

  * "No Trespassing" signs are diffrent from "No Soliciting," "No Peddling," and "No Canvassing" Signs. However, if a householder at any time informs a publisher that this sign applies to our ministry (no matter what the wording of that sign may be), the publisher should reassure the householder that future calls at his home will cease. This can be done by simply stating:

  The application of the sign was not clear to us from its wording. Steps will now be taken to make certain that no further calls are made at your home by Jehovah's Witnesses.

  Thereafter, a dated note should be placed in the territory envelope listing the name and address of such individuals.

  We trust this will answer questions publishers have regarding "No Trespassing" Signs. It is a pleasure to work shoulder to shoulder with you in accomplishing the work our Master has entrusted to us. - Zeph. 3:9; Matt 28:19,20

  i have been a ministerial servant for 15 years.

  after 1994-95 "generation change" and 1999 "being hit by hurricane and no wt/brothers help".

  i had serious doubts.

  I had serious doubts. In this time though I've been asked to be elder twice.

  My question is.... If the holy spirit directs the nominations of Ms and Elders... What reasons

  would the holy spirit have in nominating me, since I am "apostate in heart"?

  I have declines twice, and had to come up with family bulls---t as an excuse.

  Thus, I have the privilege of hearing some things from the inside, and help others who doubt this bad religion

  i have been out of the jw's for some years now.

  i left a few years after the revelation book came out.

  i remember when it came out my mom who has been a staunch jw for over 40 years told me that the jw's are indeed the truth and provide food at the proper time.

  *IF* you believe that the speaker in Rev 22 seamlessly and without warning changes (i.e. verse 7 = Jesus speaking, verse 12=Jehovah speaking, verse 20, first part only!, is Jesus speaking again) then there is NO contradiction.

  Ah, all Witnesses including writing staff gotta do what I always do when I have a talk.............. Quote word for word older publications, and you get the

  "great talk brother xx xx"

  I remember doing Service meeting parts, and showing people how to place the book, and thinking "what the

  heck would a householder want with this? Even if they wanted to know the Bible?"

  Hard to get over: No New System

  i have to tell you something.. i really find it hard getting over the idea of no new system and all that it meant to me.

  to be with my children and their children forever in perfect health.. too many days it just leaves me empty.

  i just wish i could shake it and enjoy life, but the idea that we just live for 70 years and die kills me.

  Geoff, how can you distinguish between "divinely directed" and "inspired", on a rational level?

  I guess everytime the WT has taught us something that is proven wrong by either new findings or new light..... Jehovah was dvinely directing them to be worng!

  I think GDT must feel guilty for the part he has had on ruining some lives, and thinks that he can talk us out of hating such ones!

  The Bible gives strong warning of the ones taking the leadership, for they can and will be held accountible of being blood guilty!

  Howard Stern set free...

  howard stern is leaving clear channel because they didn't stand up to him when the fcc gave them presure.

  so in 2006, howard stern will go to satelite radio.

  He proved once that negative letters sent to the FCC were from few people, being paid

  from moral groups to stop him. These moral groups are getting alot of money donations

  and it's become a business, in return they pay retired people so much per envelope to

  send in to FCC and others!

  Are JWs seeing signs of the end now?

  i was talking with my dad last night and during our call, he started talking about all the storms to hit florida, the earthquake in california (that didn't damage anything), and mt.

  saint helens on the verge of erupting.. he didn't come right out and say it, but i got the feeling he was trying to slip in some kind of warning.

  the old 'sign of the end' type of stuff.

  3. Increase immorality (including violent crimes).

  I would rather be walking on a road today, than when Paul was traveling. Does anyone see

  what violent crimes were committed by bandits for the past 6000 years?

  The romans had a good control on things due to the fact that they had good justice system

  but any others?

  How about innocent villages being plundered before the 20th century? Want to be naive and dismiss it?
