what does the elder manual say the procedure is when someone reports child abuse?

my father in law is telling my wife that is says to go straight to the proper authorities... i have a hard time buying that since thats not what the watchtowers i've seen have said!

any one have the low down on this?

I know that when the overseer vists the congregations, he has special night meetings

with elders and MS's. As part of these I can attest that more instructions are given in

these than meets the general publics eyes!

Can a person believe that the Bible contradicts itself and be a Christian?

i am having some conflicting feelings lately that i need some advice on.

i am starting to believe that the bible contradicts itself but at the same time i love jehovah and jesus and have hope for some form of eternal life.

that will never change but i have never believed in the bible 100% coming from god.

If God condemned Adam/Eve to die when they sinned.... then why are Children born with

birth defects? Why are children drying in the womb? Why are mothers dying with their children?

Why are people dying as children?

Would not the curse put by God just affect the fact that we would just grow old and die? Or Die from sickness

at old age?

Why is it affecting the innocent in a way that does not make sense?

When I get time, I'm going to scan and publish the letter I got my hands on.

It was sent to the Presiding Overseer about the blood committee, and all info on this letter was not to be read to the congregation.

One interesting thing I read was, that all publishers are to be instructed that when checking in to hospital, that

they make sure they not only tell them they are witnesses, but also proclaim that they should be visited by a minister from the witnesses.

By doing so, they cannot stop us (elders, or committee head) from entering the room in case there is a crisis
