"how to shit in the woods" ... this is actually a book title sold by the thousands, no, by the millions.

yep, over 2.5 million copies of the book have been sold, and the author is a woman (kathleen meyer).. now, if you are a man, do you feel comfortable with a woman telling you "how to shit in the woods"?

this book is in its third edition, in 8 languages to boot.

could have used it during my mountain biking trips.

anyway, I used to be afraid of being seen and put in jail for indecent exposure............. yes, in the US we have stupid laws that can have a big outcome in your whole life!

just reading through the manual that only elders have access to ..........and.

page 58 - "elders should act promptly when they receive a report of serious wrongdoing so as to safeguard the congregation and provide assistance to the wrongdoer.

neglecting to care for such matters can hinder the flow of jehovah's holy spirit to the congregation.

felt something clinging to back of my leg.

elastic waistband of my slip died and my slip was hanging 6 inches below my dress.. anyone else have an embarrassing service tale to share?.

at one time my brother was superzealous, and wanted to go to 2 diffrent language meetings (on the same day)

I was forced to tag along, inbetween meetings almost shiite on myself. made it to the bathroom probably 1 second before the blast!

Kingdom halls do not have insurance policies from "wordly companies".

they are self insured from the society, they send monthly payments to a fund called KHAA.

from what I hear, payments are easy to send to the society, but not the other way around

Are elders dumb enough to not see this as a sign?

The society throws 1 or 2 under the bus, and the other cong. elders don't see themselves being thrown under the bus?

I'm glad years ago that I not only rejected that title, but stepped down as MS............. best decision of my life, next to having my children!

if you've been following my posts on here, you'll know that i've recently been fascinated by the april 15th 2008 study edition of the watchtower magazine - namely the 'repudiate valueless things' article.. here are my previous posts on this masterpiece of watchtower propaganda:.

WT wizard, after high school I did not have any motivation for higher education from parents or KH.

On my own, I decided to go to 1 year tech school.

problem 1 was: I found some good jobs, but during the interview/resume. many rejections came about.

problem 2 was: I found that co-workers doing my same job with college education was making about $25k a year more.

Is their a slackening off / lack of zeal in the witnessing work that I am observing or is it just the area I`m living in

last saturday i was home with my wife,having a leisurely brekky pottering around in the kitchen ,then i noticed her standing still pondering ,what`s up i asked , wife :i thought i heard someone knocking ,i looked out the window to see two middle aged guys exciting my front drive.why didn`t you tell me they were their,i didn`t hear them.

i would have engaged them in conversation , but my wife doesn`t think i ought to,just let it go ,is her motto.. but my point is : i`m not deaf , and i didn`t hear them at the door , we were both in the front room ,my wife only thought she heard someone at the door only to be proved right observing them leaving i was in my pj`s and dressing gown so was not going to pursue them.

we have been living here nearly 5 years now and i can honestly say they have never been on our doorstep more than 4 times if that , i personally have only encountered them 3 times at the most.
