I challenge them to just for once say to their mindless followers: Go ahead and listen to the apostate lies and judge for yourselves.
Oh yea. That'll never happen.
i managed to get my scanner working on another pc.
i'm not sure about the policy about posting scans of watchtowers here so if you want me to send you the scans let me know.
the scans are in a zip file which is password protected.

some do not like to discuss doctrinal issues with elders etc.
when leaving the org or studying feeling inadequate.. .
i present for your consumption some very simple questions to ask that reveal motives and objectives to use in lieu of doctrinal debates.
Good questions!!
the third study article in the august 15th wt is entitled "tired, but not tiring out.".
it is of interest that the borg are further reducing the quality of life for their members by the following paragraph (pg 24, para 11).
sometimes what complicates our lives is, not the pursuit of more things, but what we do with the things we already have.. some may experience emotional fatigue as a result of challenging health problems, the loss of loved ones, or other.
Will the madness ever end?!?! That is so sickening to me. gladtobefree - good point - very emotionally unhealthy! But of course they benifit by having emotionally unhealthy people as members. They wouldn't exist if everyone got well!
.
with their policies on child molesters etc etc,one does wonder if wt has a deathwish.. what do you think?
One can only hope!!!
(and pray!)
hey guys i need som help.
i'm writing a letter to my family about the doubts and concerns i have of the wts and how they aren't god's source for spiritual food.
i don't feel that disfellowshiping and shunning is scriptual, however i'm having trouble find evidence.
i think it is rediculous that I could be held accountable for a decision I made when I was 15, a decision more important than marriage and a decision i made b/c i was pressured by my friends, family and congregation. i wish i never got baptised and then this wouldn't even be a problem.
That's my point exactly. I was 13 when I got baptized. We certainly would not have been allowed to leave at 13/15!!! It's not really a choice if only 1 choice is acceptable!
I don't know the answer to your question. I do know that I am NOT one of the people mentioned in the scripture they use to justify it. I also know it is NOT loving which was what Jesus asks of us. I don't think Jesus shunned anyone - not even his friend who betrayed him.
They like to think that what they do is scriptural - but its really only the WATCHTOWER!
hey guys.
both my mom, dad and sister have asked me to write them with my reasons and concerns for leaving the wts.
this is what i wrote them.
Hi Jared
Wow! You've done your homework!! Excellent letter!!
From my point of view I have decided not to write a letter like that to my mom (yet) because she would have to call me an apostate and that would be so much worse than just being df'ed. If she ever asks for my reasons I think I will tell her that she doesn't want to know and that if she does she can read the same information I have read. I don't know. That's just me.
I would just hope that your family can handle it and will be open and not mark you as an evil apostate and shun you even more harshly. Maybe its worth it to you to be able to honestly speak your mind. More power to you!!
You really did an awesome job putting it all together and communicating with honesty and love.
Please post the results!!!
((((Hugs)))
you know, i never had a clue why people did this.
it's not like kingdom halls in different cities look different.
they just have a different shape, a different shaped yard, trees in different locations, and some had that car stop thingy which stopped you from getting wet.
Good idea 1914! LOL
no one partakes of it?
out of the many memorials i have been to, i only recall 1 when a bethelite came to give our talk and he was of the anointed and partook of the emblems.
but anyway i've read a post on here and heard about a person in my local area that partook of the emblems and their "anointed" status was questioned.
it may be incorrect but where else you gonna go?
dancing, skydiving, 6-Flags, rollerblading, a movie, dinner, COLLEGE, shopping, home to watch Thursday night prime time TV, coffee with a friend, skiing, swimming, the gym, mountain climbing, to bed early, on a date, surf the internet, Fiji....to name just a few things.
The black and white thinking is so sad. Too bad she has no other options than to stay in a destructive cult.
...............except he's no longer an elder!
i knew he'ld been removed after my reinstatement (about 4 years ago) because he had expressed to dubs regret over the handling of my case, how i was treated, etc.
so the big elder (po) who wanted me silenced and set up the whole jc and witnesses, had little elder removed.
Awesome Bliss!! My hat's off to you for protecting the ones who can't protect themselves!!
Please keep hammering away at him!
being inactive, not going to meetings, and having the internet is a nice combination.
the last time i went to a meeting, a brother asked me if i had the internet... first of all, it was none of his buisiness, so i answered, "do you have it"?
he said no.. i know elders who do have the internet, so what, big deal... so, it's ok for elders to have the internet and not ok for non elders to have it?.
THat just sickens me. OF COURSE you have the internet. EVERYONE does -- except the third world. YES and I have running water too. idiot! Its so obvious that they have secrets to keep and are worried that you might discover the "truth" and spread it around. That's so unhealthy that they would ask that. As if the internet has no other use than to spread their precious JW "apostate lies." Maybe you use it for business purposes??? Maybe to check movie times??? Or to read your horoscope....Oops. Haha
Control freaks.
