where i live, you can smell the odor of paper mills.

it's a port city and people speak french here.

i think the average age of people here is one of the higest in canada.. there is a shrine that attracts many tourists in the summer time.

I live near a city that's famous for a group of 'outlaws wearing tight's'.
It rains Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall.
If shopping is your thing, then it's the place to go - If you can't get it here, then it's probably not worth having!
It has a heaving nightlife, it's fair share of aggressive tramps, and highly aggressive boozers !
Everywhere you go there's a traffic Jam.
Fortunately though, if I head west, I'm only a 1/2 hours drive away from some of the most spectacular scenery in England.

I think this topic should have been started in the 'Humour' section....
Anyone wanting or looking to be offended / play the victim, will find a reason to take offence at something, no matter how slight or trivial.
Is Hollywood forcing a 'black' man to play the role of a 'gangsta rapper' or any other such stereotype that can be attributed - No! - Actors are clammering to play the parts, and getting paid handsomely for doing it. Exploitation indeed !!!!
I don't wish to take anything away from the serious accusations of racism, and counts of racism, that do still unfortunately occur. But reading racism into films like this, and other 'political correctness gone mad' claims of racism, only serves to desensitize people to its existence and seriousness.
If people are going to keep crying wolf every time their 'over sensitive racist nerves' are touched, eventually the worlds gonna stop listening....

Martial arts - and the total ban on learning any kind of self discipline / defence.
"Lean upon Jehovah" - let him kick your attackers ass !!! Try praying / hoping for salvation when there's a group of 8 kids older than you that call themselves jew bashers, and take their frustrations out on you... you soon learn prayer isn't fast enough - fists 'n' feet are !!! I took a few good beatings, and I gave more than my fair share back. They soon learned to leave me alone....
I always fancied being a wrestler cos I had the build for it - even that was frowned upon - "bodily training is beneficial for a little......" sadly, it's all gone to waist !!!!
