I knew of three from my old cong (same one as LittleToe) - the 'late claim' sister was one hell of a character - she used to have me in fits of laughter!! I was a 'mic' brother, and used to dread her answers cos I couldn't keep the microphone still because of giggling too much!
My ex mother in law also laid claim to be of the anointed, shortly after going through a 2 year spree of missing the meetings and leaving her husband... she used to wander around in a daze, clutching her NWT to her chest everywhere she went!!!!!
If she really IS anointed... looks like I'm screwed at the day of reckoning!!!
Oh yeah, I know LT too, if he still counts!

Do you believe EVERYTHING you read in the news / papers?
I know nothing about the background of this man, as probably no one else here knows anything about him either. Maybe he is all that they say he is, maybe not. Taking the attention away from the issues raised by pointing at someone and making them look insincere, or silly, is standard diversion tactics used by politicians, lawyers, elders.. in fact anyone in authority that knows they have no defense about something. Exactly the same tactics were used by the police / government to turn people against the fathers that had climbed up London Bridge in protest of the unfair judicial system.
IMO, unfortunately, your post is proof that this type of diversion tactic works - it took the attention away from the issue and made him look like a crap father (btw, this is purely observational - I'm not making an attack against you personally..)

Wow! I can't believe how far back your memories go!!! For me, there are 2 that happened around the age of 5, but I can't remember which came first so I'll tell ya both...I can remember being disappointed by my dad because he promised to take me fishing in the canal, but didn't, and sent me to bed when I threw a tantrum over it!! My other earliest memory was a trip to Matlock, Derbyshire. There were hundreds of motorcycles, and I just stood in awe of this huge mass of chrome and colour that was a Honda Goldwing. I told everyone about it, and that I was going to have one when I grew up. And I have (although whether I've actually grown up yet is quite debatable!)

I don't know if there is any underlying reason for this that we don't know about, but if not then so much for equal opportunities.
Unfortunately over here, the mother only has to say abuse, and the father is instantly a wife / child batterering danger to the kids - no proof required. The mother wouldn't lie about something like that, would they ??? Then, because of todays Politically Correct culture, and 'where there's blame, there's a claim' attitude, the courts have to tread so slowly it looks like they're going backwards!! I had 2 1/2 years of legal fighting to see my little girl, and it nearly broke me physically, emotionally and financially. I can't imagine what these unfortunate fathers must be feeling to lead them to do this kind of stunt.
I only hope enough people can see through the 'sillyness' of these actions and see the desperation that drives fathers to do it!

p.s. I also think it's really funny that it's so easy to get ast the security defences... apparently 'Madge' is right 'pissed orf' !!

I was branded a bad associate at 17 by an elder in a nearby congregation for leading his son astray... the old 'point the finger at someone else' routine to take the attention away from his own son. He showed me his stash of porno's, and several packets of condoms, for 'just incase he got lucky'.... yet I was the bad associate!!
It's sickening to see some of the reports about children being da / df'd... during the time when they are still learning social skills and forming lifelong relationships.. cut em off!! Brilliant idea, NOT!
