Bits were accurate.... but the following - PMSL!!!
Elegance is essential. It doesn't matter if you are going to the opera or the to the corner shop, you make sure that you look fantastic.
Bull! <= but a very elegant bull at that!!

in preparing for this custody battle and ensure the safety of my children, i have been researching and putting together a strong case with evidence of harm caused to the children by the religion.
if sufficient evidence is presented, the judge will more than likely rule that mom is not to discuss any religion whatsoever with the children as long as they minors living in my home.
i have much evidence of abuse which includes a recording i made of mother using coersive tactics to get our 13 year old to go the meetings.
Hi corvin:
a recording I made of mother using coersive tactics
Was she aware that you were recording her ??
I don't know how the law lies on this in America, but over here, it wouldn't be allowed to be presented as evidence unless she consented to having conversations with you recorded. Stupid, isn't it ??
I've been on the receiving end of almost identical coersive tactics to that when I was younger, (no, not sending back my dress!!!) and it didn't make a blind bit of difference to me. The guilt trip worked on me though....
It sounds to me like your daughter is resolute - I doubt if mom sending back a dress is going to instill a desire to attend meetings!!
Best of luck buddy,
Bull!
we laid low for a week from picketing the kingdom hall.
i wanted to see how things would go with the emergency hearing before i continued.
because of the pending restraining order sara applied for, i cannot go within 100 yards of her or her husband, mark.
Hiya corvin..
just following on from what sirona mentioned, during my court battles over access to my little girl, my ex tried to use my being a JW as one of the reasons for not allowing me access (she knew I wasn't one - had stopped before we met). It backfired, the judge said that he would not stand for religious intolerance, no matter what denomination. He also cautioned her about some other things too, but that's a different story!!
Good luck with your proceedings - you're children are lucky to have a father that fights so hard for them!
Cheers,
Bull!
the postman has just brought another batch of get-well cards.
thank you so much, my friends, there have been so many, most without a return addy that i feel quite overwhelmed by all of this kindness.. just an update: (not for the squeamish).
i'm recovering well, although i can't walk more than about 50 yards at present.
Hi Eman - glad you're improving, even if it is taking an age...
2000! That's 12 pints of beer
You must be drinking that watered down american stuff!!! LOL!
Get some Guinness down yer... esp. the bottled stuff - it's reputed to have a high iron content, ideal for helping the wound to heal!!!
Bull! <= waiting for the waves of hatred about the american beer comment!!
.
i'm bored, it's friday night and no one wants to go out but me!!
anyone else stuck in home alone?
If it's a good Merlot, I'm on my way with some fine Melton Mowbray Blue Stilton !!! Mmmmm - Mmm!
Bull!
My mom was quite vocal in her disapproval of my ex mother-in-law's partaking of the emblems, and her and my (ex)wife had a big bust up over it... It's probably the only time I counselled another jdub, but my counsel was such: -
"If she is of the anointed, be careful what you say, as you will be speaking out against the Holy Spirit. If she isn't of the anointed and is partaking of the emblems, she will have to account for that with God" (it made my mom cry that she had brought up such a well adjusted and wise son)... yeah right!!!
As I said before... if that beeyatch is up there as a judge.... I'm screwed !
Bull!
why must men have the biggest tv they can cram in the living room?
i figured we had a nice size for now.
it is a 36 inch.
My wife hated big tv's, until I upgraded to a Toshiba 32" widescreen - the 'picture frame' style ones with a very slim surround. Looks the biz!!
That coupled to a Sony DAV-SC8 - the sound quality is absoultely awesome!!!!
Bull!
... now all I need to do is go home and tidy up so I can find a seat to watch it from! LOL!
not just any motorcycle but a crouch rocket and it is making sick to my stomach and i am so scared.
he called so many insurance agency's and most won't even insure him because of the kind of bike it is.
i hear so many people killed on bikes and it terrifies me .
kls:
To all you bikers ( BE CAREFUL )
Thanks honey, we try!!
..my wife was reading my reply to you yesterday as I was typing it... she said exactly the same thing as you - you're a mom, it's your job to worry!!
Cheers,

Hi kls....
You can't wrap him up in cotton wool forever... certainly tell him of your fears, and hopefully, he will do everything to convince you that he will be as safe and cautious as he can be. Motorcycling is convenient, fun, exciting and in better climates than sunny England, can be a most practical means of full time transport. And no, they aren't more dangerous than cars, just more vulnerable.
How does it work in the US - over here, we have to pass a Compulsory Basic Training course, then we're limited as to what power bike we can ride for 2 years (unless you do a direct access course like I did, then you can ride whatever you like). After that, you can go onto more powerful bikes. Certainly encourage him to get some good training, both on and off road - riding motorcycles isn't just about going fast, and it takes alot more skill than you'd realise to control one at a slow pace.
IMO, you need to show supportiveness WITH concerns - the minute you say 'I don't want you to have one', or similar, he'll just switch off - like most of us would!
If leathers are too hot to wear over there, there is some excellent lightweight armoured clothing available - even some that looks like cargo netting with crash protectors. A full face helmet is a must if he's gonna go fast, as are proper gloves and boots.
Other than that, you can only leave it in His hands and your son's sensibilities!
Take Care, and try not to worry too much!!
Bull!
this past sunday on 60 minutes, there was a segment about the police investigation of a brutal rape and murder of a student at the university of oklahoma in 1996. the only evidence the police had was semen.
so, to catch the killer, police asked every innocent person that even remotely knew the victim to give them samples of their dna, imposing what are called dna dragnets.
many of the victim?s associates, mainly students, volunteered.
There's been reports about the reliability of DNA evidence - if it's handled incorrectly at anytime during it's sampling / processing cycles, it can easily become contaminated, thereby fingering the wrong person!!!
Wouldn't be happy at the prospect of my dna being stored either....
