I'd like to think my wife honours and respects me.
I honour and respect her, and would not have it any other way.
Bull!
okay, what i want to know is honestly how many of you guys out there were actually attracted to the jw's because of the wifely submission thing?
and girls, how many of you actually had issues with the submission thing even when in the org.
?
I'd like to think my wife honours and respects me.

they have just awarded themselves a 15% pay rise ... for nonsense like this !
i hope someone breaks into his house and beats the living shit out of him.
maybe he'll think better of wasting parlimentary time over what is an important issue to people living the real world.. what a toss bag.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4492688.stm.
I completely agree...what a fecking cu*t
I second that sound reasoning !!!
An englishmans home is no longer his castle, it's a f*cking lottery for any twat that decides to rob it.
We were burgled 8 weeks ago, and the c*nts even took my wife's wedding ring. And if you confront them ???? Step to one side and show them where the safe is, or you'll get arrested for breach of the peace, or ABH. We live in a f*cked up society.
Bull!
i dislike the commercialism, the music, the incessant "happy holidays", and the church's insistence to put "jesus back in christmas.".
but i really like xmas lights.
i put up a 7 foot tree and three small trees in my yard and strung lights around them, strung up lights on my gutters, and put candles in my windows.
Hi katydid - I like the lights too... they've always held a certain magical quality for me.
I don't like cheesy or corny christmas music, like sometimes played in shopping centres, but have you ever heard a full orchestra, or 100 piece brass band play christmas carols ? Or even better, a well orchestrated choir singing their hearts out to a traditional hymn - that's the closest I get to a religious experience these days. A good one can easily move me to tears.
The human voice is the most beautiful instrument of all, in my opinion, and fior some reason seems to be heralded best of all at christmas.

so thats what it feels like.. i am not df'ed or da'ed, ... i have just stopped going to meetings.
my wife is trying to be as active as she can.. so all morning i am out of my regular routine.
late getting out of bed and late about everything today.. so i leave the house, and before getting to the office, i decide to stop at the mall for a quick, maybe 15 min, walk.. as soon as i get inside, taking my coat off, here is the elder who did everything he could in his power to get me out...and lied...and added to gossip that ran me outta there.. he and his wife spot me .. and turn there heads away and continue on their walk, .. eyes fixed on some thing away from me.. so thats what it feels like.........now i know.
So thats what it feels like.........now I know.
How did it make you feel, xjwms ?
I had a whole mixture of emotions, but now, I just accept it because I can't change their narrow minded childishness.
Just remember, It's their loss !!
Bull!
i was just wandering.... was it just me or was everyone thinking about it..... ive been in a few congs where some of the sisters were absolutely drop dead gorgeous!
my last cong here in sydney, there was about 160 publishers so the talent was every where... i remember having the hots for this sister, who happens to be the wife of the service overseer... she was xxx hot.
i remember always having to wear my suit coat to the meeting to hide my excitement.. i think all the bro's must have thought the same thing.
There were a few hot sisters in my old congregation - one in particular that I grew up with, but was always too shy to actually approach her about how I felt. She was beautiful, and fun to be with. Her beauty shone through with her personality too.
Her mother left and became an apostate years before I left the JW's. Once, on a trip to Mark Eaton Park, we saw each other again (after they'd left for about 2 years) and we shared a moment, just looking at each other. Then that was it, never seen her since. Heard she eventually got married to Royal Marine...
God I was stupid to be so closed up !!!
Bull!
.
i don't know if any of you brits saw the 'this morning' show today but they had a woman on it whos mother had tried to abort her at 7 and a half months pregnant, apparentely they gave her mum some stuff to drink which burns the baby inside and out, but fortunately this baby survived and now as a woman she is campaigning for anti abortion laws to be brought in.. so, what are your views on abortion?
I believe abortion is up to the women having the baby
In the case of a rape - yes. I agree 100%. I would still think that in a loving relationship, they would be able to come to a mutual decision though.
In a relationship - no. It takes two to make the baby, it should be a joint decision. While the woman may have the casting vote if a compromise can't be reached, it is a decision that should normally be reached together - including whether or not terminate a severely handicapped foetus.
In today's society, making free access to birth control etc, there is generally no reason why a pregnancy should result from sex. ( I know 'accidents' can happen ) I entirely disagree with abortion being used as last minute contraception.
It makes me sick the lack of respect shown to human life, and the lack of respect shown by law and society for a mans feelings in these situations too.

from the ap.... raleigh, n.c. - a man who killed his wife and father-in-law pinned his hopes on last-minute intervention from the governor or the courts as he awaited lethal injection early friday in the nation's 1,000th execution since capital punishment resumed in 1977. kenneth lee boyd, set to die at 2 a.m., spent the day receiving visitors, including two sons who watched him gun down their mother and grandfather in 1988. .
my questions are; are you for or against the death penalty?
what was your opinion of the death penalty as a jehovah's witness?.
One more thing. Allow the victims families to pull the switch, if they wish
Interesting point. The 'caveman' in me Uggs in agreement - If I had been wronged, would I feel cheated if someone else had the task of killing them.
However, the more civilized Bull wonders what the mental / emotional ramifications of that would truly be - knowing that you were responsible ( from the point of view of being the 'trigger' man) for the death of another human.
I've always said that if someone was to hurt my loved ones in such a way, I would kill them myself. However, I think that my really be testosterone talking - I'm not sure if I could actually kill someone.
One thousand is, of course, an important milestone, since numbers ending in zero have a magical power upon little minds – and “1000” has three zeroes at its end. Thus, we are all to reflect on the horror we have wrought as a nation. One thousand ;deaths – and for what? Obviously, we should withdraw from capital punishment immediately.
Is that factual - the numbers ending in zero have an affect ? I ask cos I'm interested in psychology, and your statement does make a kind of sense...
Bull !
a friend of mine told me tonight that he believes something is impossible.
this happens to be a something that i feel is not only possible, but 100% proven beyond all doubt.
interesting.
Licking your own elbow.
Controlling your bowel movements and urinatingYou're not THAT old, are you?
Kaput - that's what I thought !!
Bull!
p.s. I know you're gonna try it... licking your elbow I mean, not controlling your bowels !!!!
the watchtower society explains "hades" as being "the common grave of mankind".
christendom's understanding of "hades" is, for the most part, quite different than that of the watchtower society.
the one similarity between the two beliefs is that in both cases "hades" is considered to be a literal place.. the truth of the matter is that neither the watchtower society or christendom has a correct understanding of the terms "hades".
I'd like to know your opinion please, schizm.
