which meant that the uk sports car industry would take a massive body-blow to it's exports.
so, in true kamikaze style, the brits sports cars companies started producing absolute garbage with fixed tops so's they could continue with their exports... cars like the jaguar xjs.
I've always liked the Triumph TR7 - rot box that it was, I loved the "Cheese Wedge" shape!
I came close to buying a Ford AC Cobra replica many moons ago, and would love to own a "real" one.
I guess my ultimate fantasy "British" car would have to be a McLaren F1 - Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
But if anyone's giving away any Aston Martins, I could be tempted.....

i remember one of my childhood friends was found dead and the police said he committed suicide.
i just could not believe it because my friend was a "devout" jw almost franatical about it.
now years later since i have seen both sides of the coin i am beginning to wonder if my friend did indeed kill himself.
An elder from one of my old congs committed suicide - just stopped his Land Rover at the side of the road, got out and poured petrol all over it and himself, then lit it. It was explained to me that his thinking had become "wayward" of late, so he was obvious not leaning enough upon Jehovah!
I attempted suicide a looooong time ago - in an abusive dub marriage and couldn't see a way out - depression eventually led to an overdose attempt with paracetomol. Took a whole bottle (48 tablets), and went to sleep.
Never had a headache since !

I was counselled for hitting my stepfather after he "lovingly disciplined" me by punching me in the face !
I was publicly reproved for having an unrepentant attitude about the above offence, telling the elder counselling me that I would kill him if he hit me again!
Telling an elder to "F*** OFF" after he hit me during the quickbuild - I was overheard by passers by and it would have been a bad witness!!!

i called them and told the elders to not come to my house anymore.
i said i didn't want anyone from the kingdom hall to call on me.
to call on my the sisters not anyone.
I found telling them to "Go F*@! themselves" worked for me - not had a "friendly visit" now for around 10 years.

oh man, this is hilarious.......a friend of mine who left the borg a few years ago and is now df'd, was making a delivery (he's a truck driver) to a company where they're all witnesses.
he knew they were dubs, but they had no idea he used to be one.
as he was finishing his delivery, one of them says to him "did you know that jesus did not celebrate his birthday on december 25th?
