Yes, yes very funny but having the wbts come out and say "we're liars and your suckers" isn't prophecy! It's a statement but most people wouldn't believe it they could come out the next week and say "it was all those mother f*cking apostate's that said that they hijacked the watchtower!" we need a slow build over a few weeks or even months

something like...week 1 "we have investigated the scriptures and have discovered new light (what a shocker) that the time of the end should have actually ended last May!"

week 2 "the slave has killed a chipmunk and read the future in its' organs and body fluid (this is an approved method for aquiring new light for the slave ONLY see wt 1927 pg 317845 sub part a-12 anyone ELSE attempting such a thing would immediatly be df'd for witchcraft but its ok for us) the new light is that all good dubs should go and immediatly buy as many firearms and edged weapons as you can

week 3 "well armegedon should definatly have stated last May this is the only solution we're gonna jump start this bi%ch right now grab the guns and lets go!!!!"

See then they can't just blame us! Right?

US Service Report - June 2004 - not a good month for the dubs

The numbers are all horse hoggle anyway. I probrably counted 10-15 hrs a month for the last 10 years I was in the org. Thats roughly ummmm 1560 hrs. I also counted 4-6 mags thats 600 magazines, plus return visits, roughly 300, plus many many books that I would just toss in the trash maybe as many as 300 of those.

I was like a service hero I gave demo's and parts on the service meeting etc etc... funny that no one ever questioned why I was never out in service... I actually went out in service maybe 10-20 times max whats that twice a YEAR (and I think thats being generous) over the last 8-10 years and no one questioned it. When I did go out I made sure that I never went to a door where anyone was home. How did I get away with it? Basicly I'm a really really good salesman (read liar) and THEY DON'T REALLY WANT TO KNOW!! Would you if you were in their place?

A good question to make JWs 'think'

most of us have experienced the frustration of trying to convince a friend or relative that the wts is not what it claims: an organisation backed by 'god'.. of course, it is very difficult to prove a negative and a real die-hard believer will explain-away any evidence of wrongdoing by the org.

as they are trained to do so well.. i have found it good to reverse the question and ask them:.

"what would the wts have to do to convince you that it wasn't god's organisation?".

You can't make a JW think. If a JW is thinking they are by definition no longer JW's. If someone is willing to honestly consider this question then they are already on the way our JW's who are in won't even give this the time of day I used this question for years out in service while trying to get others to come around to the duba way. (what could the catholic religion or the babtist religion or the branch davidians... oh by the way your house is on fire...) several elders who went out with me commented on what a great question it was one even used it in a service meeting part here in jacksonville but they will never turn this around because there is nothing that the wts could do they could tell them. "You need to all buy guns an monday morning we're gonna jumpstart armegedon cause were tired of god f*cking around" and I'll bet 85 percent would do it.

My wife flat told me "I do not care if they are wrong this is how I was raised and this is my hope for the future and I do not care" what do you say to that

Believable Or NOT!!!!

i don't know about everyone else but i just want to get these stories of godly/demonic intervention out of my system.

hope it doesn't bore you but some are a good laugh now but i truly believed them and some i still believe.. 1. don't open that cabinet- one day my dear step mother was cleaning the kitchen and needed something out of a cabinet that was rarely used.

there was a plastic cake dish that makes this very audible noise when trying to close it(lil cheap cake from winn dixie).

All these stories share the same basic theme. THEY ARE ALL BULLHOCKY!!! This is merely another level of religious control ALL religions use them. The jews and first century christians had a bunch of stories like this too they wrote them down and they are called (drumroll please) the bible! Those stories aren't any more factual than these listed here. If you write these stories on this thread down in a book and bury it in the sand for a thousand years they dont' become true when you dig them up!! A old lie is still a LIE.

There aren't really spirit creatures it's all crap and superstition!

i have heard much railing from the wts about the snares of "worldly philosophies".

according to the wts, much of what is evil in the world, including the teachings of "babylon the great" is rooted in philosophy.

this appears to be one of their hotbutton "buzzwords" to promote irrational fear about anything related to philosophy.

There is a REASON that so many dubs are of the uneducated lower class! There is a REASON that the principle employment for pioneers is cleaning toilets! There is a REASON that so many of the dubs were ENCOURAGED to drop out of school and pioneer not that long ago! There is a REASON that since it is now impossible to support a family without finishing high school and in many places at least getting an AA that the "society" strongly discourages learning to think while getting an education! It's the same REASON Catholics were forbidden to learn to read in the middle ages! The same REASON women are not allowed to be educated in Muslim lands!

If you become educated and start thinking ALL religion loses its appeal. All religion is based on superstition if you become educated you realize there are no things that go bump in the night! The worship of a carpenter who's been dead for better than two thousand years is no less foolish than worshiping a tree or a cinder block or a beaver... (Well, depends on the beaver I guess) As soon as you realize that there is no big foot there are no vampires or werewolves there is no hell demons don't exist angels don't exist Jesus was merely the David Koresh of his day and there is no god.

I can understand why they don?t' want you to get an education or educate yourself, can't you?

Those of us with family members who are still in this hatefull organization come to this site for support and for help in getting our family members out!!! We do not need this stupid Sh%t it's idiotic and absolutly detracts from what we're trying to do here!

I don't mean to be rude but this kind or crap just makes it harder, it makes it so much more difficult to try to explain to a family member that your not some sort of anti-jw terrorist and you want to have an intellegent discussion about the lies they are being fed!!

I've asked my wife about this and she gets very very upset no real reasoning just pissed off... then I ask her why if the wages of sin is death doesn't everyone just step in front of a car as soon as armegedon starts then they get a free pass... don't argue with the dubs they get pretty pissed off!
