That's awesome Terry! If I were in the same situation, I think my mind would go blank and not be able to have a conversation at all.

i visited the russell gravesite with the pyramid yesterday with my local jwn guide.
a very interesting experience and we even met some real and enthusiastic jw pilgrims on the site.. but do any of you guys know anything about the gravesites of rutherford, knorr, franz or henschel?
where are they and how do they look?.
If you speak with your jwn guide again tell that person to PM HappyDad as I was once an elder in one of the congs. about 13 miles south east of Pittsburgh. Hope you are enjoying your travels!

the old guys sided with hobby lobby today in denying birth control coverage to its female employees based on the owners religious views.
intact- is viagra for the guys.
funny how the far right evangelical owners of hobby lobby didn't want to touch that one.... read judge ginburg's scathing counter argument and opinion.. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/13pdf/13-354_olp1.pdf.
LisaRose,
You are not getting the point. I'm not in favor of what HobbyLobby is doing either! I just get sick and tired of reading the rantings of individuals who don't gather ALL of the facts before they spew thier comments. What some have said on this thread (in not knowing ALL the facts) is just as bad as the right wing political conspiracy theorists.

Im sorry......maybe not, but after reading all of the comments, it seems to me that XJW's are just as bad if not worse than any other group that wants their viewpoints and opinions shoved down the rest of mankind's throats. You all want YOUR way or the highway. To you, it doesn't matter what the other person or group thinks. You are like little kids throwing a tantrum because you don't like something. You gnash your teeth at anothers way of life but you cry and cry if they say something negative about your way of life.
Grow up!
In the bars it is said of wimps when they have had to much to drink that they are "flexing their beer muscles". Those wimps after a little more than smelling the beer cap would fight the 200 LB brute who is minding his own business. You are like the wimp. You don't get involved in anything positive but just like to be negative by flexing your "keyboard muscles". Go out and get involved with organisations that express what you believe and look for ways to make a difference. Q uit mouthing off YOUR opinion and getting pissed that others think differently.
If you read what OhioCowboy said.......get the facts about any issue before getting diareah of the mouth.

i took up cycing a couple of months ago just to get fitter and lose a bit of excess weight.. i bought a second-hand hybrid bike (weighs only slightly less than a truck) and fitted road tyres.
four or five times a week i will go for a ride after work for an hour or so.
i am fortunate enough to live in rural north england surrounded by limitless quiet roads.
Cofty,
Yes....Allegheny, PA is where old Charlie started it all. Today that area across the Allegheny River from the city of Pittsburgh is called the North Side. That is where the baseball and football stadiums are located. And old Charlies pyramid is about 5 miles from there.

Hmmmm.....wonder what happened to all of my titles an sentences? Anyhow, I did a lot of riding on the Greater Allegheny Passage in Western Pennsylvania with my Trek. The pictures are along the Yougogheny River. The ride was always enjoyable.

i just walked back from getting my mail and happen to walk right by an automobile that belongs to the jw's who live in the end of my building.
the sticker in the low left of the windshield caught my attention so i stopped to read it.
it was a sticker that said......advanced medical directive.....no blood!
Ok! I just had a real good look at that decal again. On the bottom it says.....Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital Blood Conservation Project. After looking it up on the web, Phoebe putney hospital is in Albany, Georgia and we are in SW Florida. One article was about the blood conservation project.....not for religious reasons, but because there was a shortage of blood for elective surgery. Reading between the lines, you could see that they are concerned about using too much blood when it might not be necessary. NOTHING about religious reasons that I could see!
There is a phone number with our area code 239. Upon further searching I found that there is a large insurance company owned by a SW Floridian with offices around this area. It gives the owners name and mentions that he is heading the Phoebe Putney BCP in this area. Again I could see nothing about religious reasons.
I'm thinking that the wife who uses this car is afraid to actually admit that she is a JW who doesn't want blood for religious reasons. Looks like she is using a legitimate hospitals concern for low blood supplies and using it to her own reasons. However, the way the decal is printed screams JW style of printing. You know how most WT printed items stand out on their own in a crowd of other printed material?
Now I need to take a peek at the husband's vehicle to see if the same decal is on his windshied.
