I started attending AA meetings in 1989 when I was an elder. I even held hands at the end of the meeting and prayed the Our Father prayer. That is the part the WT frowns upon....praying with "false religion". For me, AA helped me see that non JW's were and are some of the nicest people ever. It was the beginning of the end for me. Goodbye WT!

Advanced Hearing Aid Technology for less than $200
by Bonnie_Clyde inhope i'm not out of line asking this question...just want to know if anyone has had any experience with this.. i just saw an ad in popular mechanics about "mdhearingaid".
it says it uses the same kind of technology that costs thousands more and is less than $200.
it's "high-quality fda-registered, is medical-grade offering sophistication and high performance, and works right out of the box.

I know I need a hearing aid but from everyone I know who has had one or had a family member who needed one....they are the biggest rip off of our time. The ones who had one eventually lost it or just put it in a drawer. Who the hell can afford several thousand dollars out of their pocket to make up the cost that their insurance or medicare doesn't cover?

This is very wonderful news. Can't wait to get a new copy of it! I gave my original copy to a woman who was on the fence for years whether to become a JW or not. After she read it she told them to never call on her again. So it really did help save someone from the clutches of the cult. My only problem is accepting Mike and Kim. They are a little over the edge. Watching them is like watching some third rate cornball comedy.

He became a JW about 1975 and was the influence for Prince becoming a JW. On his official web page is the list of his tour dates this year. He is going to be in quite a lot of cities and overseas too. So I was just wondering how "faithful" he is these days. I had heard that he was an elder at one time, but he is spending a lot of time away from being controlled by the religion. Hmmmm....could he be one of the PIMO's (Permanently In Mentally Out)
If he has woken up, I wish him the best.

Hang in there Zeb. I have been through much of the same mental anguish as you. Those are the same things that turned me off years before I finally had the last straw.

did you get the guy who had raised his family while serving?
it didn't say how he or his wife became witnesses, but;;;;;; he is a doctor, was invited to be a doc for the wt, sold out his home (at loss ((i bety)), moved, but you can be sure he didn't get a room at bethel.

Does anyone know where the Schiller family lived prior to selling their souls to the WT? I remember back in the late 1970's that there was a Dr. in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area (where I used to live) who went to Bethel.
