WT RESOLUTIONS what becomes of them??

i got an email the other day from an long time jw, in fact he was 13 at the 1958 convention in ny and polo grounds .

we were talking about the org and he posed the question to me as well- i thought about it and i could not think of anything-.

i have never heard -other than the name adoption resolution- any mention of any resolutions that we as jw adopted like in 1979, 1983 , etc.

Wasn't it back in the 1980's when the full size folded tracts came out and we were told that we (JW's) would continue to make these resolutions every few months (new tracts every few months) until the end came?

WHAT HAPPENED? Guess the borg doesn't want the end to come as long as $ is coming in.

I finally went to CHURCH----and didn't feel guilty!

i've was df'd over 6 years ago after spending all of my life a jw.

i remember thinking i could never step foot in a church out of guilt or fear.

however, i am feeling a loss of some kind of christian fellowship....i think i read a few other posts regarding this need for some of you.. i knew i would not go back to a kh, either.

I know how you feel. It was hard for me the first time going to a church for the purpose of worshiping God. Isn't it great that we can now go to these services and come out feeling good about ourselves instead of thinking that we are not doing enough? The sermons and the upbeat music are wonderful and in less than 2 hours I will be in church again. Can't wait!

The original picture I uploaded is a very clear and sharp image of the cliff along Lake Ontario. When I looked at the upload on pixfiles, it is very grainy looking........kike a sureal image. Not sure what happened. I'll try something else later. For now, I have to get ready to go to an anniversary dinner.

Thanks to all for your help and suggestions. We'll get this figured out sooner or later.

Pick a church . . . Eenee Meenee Minee Mo

after enjoying the spiritual freedom of being "out" for a few years, i now feel the need for more christian fellowship.

however, never having gone to any church, i'm at a loss at what to try.. since there's such a variety of spiritual beliefs here, and i know churches vary greatly even in the same religion, maybe some of you can give me suggestions.

1. no dramatic rituals or costumes (incense or big hats).

See if there is a Calvary Chapel Church near you. I found it to be the greatest since I attend there everytime I visit gold_morning. Here where I live, I attend the First Evangelical Free Church and it is good too! Another church I attended was a Missionary Alliance Church.

None of these churches have disappointed me.
