What they are doing is great! I really can't say enough about it so I encourage you to check the web site. The main fact is that fathers need to take responsibility for the kids they have brought into this world. Any idiot can make a child but it takes someone special to be a father. HappyDad

  i have a friend who has been at beth-hell since early in 1971. he is arthritic and went one time too many to the infirmary and finds himself with no job, no education, and no benefits after nearly 40 years working his butt off at brooklyn then at patterson.....please help me spread this video around.. thanks kids!.

  That was excellent! I just wish I had email addresses of all the JW's I ever knew so this could be sent to them.

  Not sure anymore if the example is in Ezekiel or one of the other OT books where Jehovah starts the cleansing in the temple first with the high priest and their cronies for all the despicable things they did.

  The WT society, and especially the GB surely deserves the wrath of God for using, abusing, and then spitting out all of the faithful who have given the best part of their lives as unpaid slaves of this organization.

  Even as a dub I thought jury duty would be a "different" experience. But of course, we were "encouraged" not to be involved for some reason or other.

  Update to 2008. Since I regestered to vote a few years ago and actually voted for the first time in this presidential primary, my name is on the county hotlist and I received a summons for jury duty in the middle of July. I've already done the preliminary questionaire online and have to check (also online) the day before my scheduled appearance date to see if I must show up or if it has been cancelled. This is something I'm looking forward to in a lot of ways just for the "new experience" it will give me. The part I don't like is that they pay you $9.00 for the day and that doesn't come close to covering gas and parking expense, so I'm using public transportation rather than drive into Pittsburgh traffic. One must pay for his/her own lunch also!

  If I'm part of the selection, it could be one day, a few, or many, depending on the case. So, even though I'm a little excited and looking forward to it at this time, my real opinion will come out after it is over. I will post my experience of the process.....pro or con at that time.

  So, what is your experience and opinion of the judicial process if you've ever done jury duty?

  my wife went witnessing and happen to go with the c.o's wife and she mentions she has been reading lord of the rings {wife-not in the truth that long} she comes home and tells me how they were "not impressed.

  } the c.o came to visit since i had missed the servants meeting due to work.

  the elders thought we needed encouragement.

  Is the M.T.S. still held in the Pittsburgh, PA Assembly Hall? I remember several families from my old/ex Kingdom Hall boarding a couple of the bro's in their home in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Oh geesh! Just typing this made me think.....It seems so odd to say that I attended a ""Kingdom Hall"". That sounds so strange to my ears now that I've been out so long. HappyDad

  i ran into an old friend spontaneously over the weekend.

  (one of the few jws i actually considered a friend back in the day).

  we were briefly catching up and she mentioned an elder in my old hall is now dfed.

  doubt they would have actually DFd him unless he got mad at the elders in the committee meeting, and told them to go to hell. Which I would have done myself if I had to listen to them tell me I could not defend my own child. Thanks James, That is exactly what I was thinking. In 1996, shortly after my wife died, my daughter told me that she was ending her marriage. Her JW husband was a complete a$$! The elders came to my home to try to get me to influence her to stay with this jerk because, in their words....."How would this look to others"? "A divorce would bring reproach on the congregation". They pi$$ed me off real bad beacause they didn't care a bit what my daughter was going through so I threw them out of my house....using a few expletives. I also happened a second time. I thought for sure they would try to hang me for that but nothing ever happened. Guess it depends on the cong. Then I left the cong. and went to another. It still took me a few years to see through the fog and finally leave. Me and my daughter are both happy now. HappyDad Why does this post totally running together? Is it because I'm using a Mac?

  i have observed that jehovah god is far from the loving father he portrays himself to be.

  stifling my sex drive, and then exploiting it by using it to get me into a cult, hardly qualifies god as being loving.

  and neither does continuing to stifle the sex drive after i am trying to leave the cult and quite likely using the hounders to reclaim me as their slave.. i found another web site that any theist should urgently look up before looking into any religion, whether jehovah's witnesses or any other "christian" or islam religion.

  legalchickie....... I was a JW for 25 wasted years. Years that I cannot turn back and celebrate my children's birthdays, Christmas, etc. Those years are lost to me forever because of being in this horrible cult!! Loving god??? Get real! Why blame God? Put the blame on the WT Society who taught you nothing but a false belief system. They are the ones to blame, not God. Just think of all the effort you put into studying the WT publications. Why not put a fraction of that time into what all other Christian's believe. HappyDad
