Dear Editor
I thought your readers may be interested to know how to stop your local Jehovah’s Witnesses calling at your door. A simple request to be put on the “Do not call list” that every congregation holds will ensure no more call.Of course genuine mistakes are made but on the whole this will stop them calling for at least a year. After that someone may call to see if you still live there or have changed your mind and would really like to be called on again in the future.
This may to some seem like a strange reason for writing and sending this information to your readers but as a Jehovah’s Witness myself for over 20 years, I do feel I need to warn families in this town.
The witnesses that call at your door are likely to be nice, sincere people who believe they are doing Gods work. I did so myself, until I was given information that gave me the truth on the organization and its history. Unfortunately it is the most vulnerable people in the community who are at most risk, the depressed, the sick and the stay at home mother. These are the people the Witnesses will say need them the most and that any criticism is persecution. Also if any family member or friends tries to warn their loved ones not to get involved, this is also an indication of persecution or Satan the Devil trying to stop you learning about the bible and God.
This is not any harmless religion, where the members are trying to live by Gods word. This is an organization that splits families, crushes the growth of its children and puts enormous pressure on everyone involved.
Once you join you can never leave (cant think of the right word to put here) ……with out a huge fallout. Once you join you will not have freedom of speech. There are many stuck in this religion desperate to get out but know if they leave they could be disfellowshipped and shunned If you have genuine questions or doubts you WILL be disfellowshipped and shunned by all your family, long life friends, sometimes if you are employed by another witness, this again causes enormous problems. This organization has many scandals that their members are completely unaware of, as they are told over and over again not to go on the internet or read anything that is critical of the society. The most disturbing one is the child abuse problem and the way they deal with offenders within the congregations. Big out of court settlements have just recently been made, with of course a gagging order on the victims. If you ask a Witness about this, they will maybe genuinely not know about it or say it is the work of apostates (former JW members with an axe to grind) in short they wont believe it!
I myself write this because I am a witness that can not just “ walk away” I have family whom I love and want to remain in contact will. It is a daily struggle trying to open their eyes but also not exposing myself to being disfellowshipped.
If you are having a study with a witness, I urge you to research for yourself before you commit to anything -

According to Firpo Carr (JW Ph.D) Bible Says Black Men More "Endowed"
by Justitia Themis inhttp://firpocarr.com/_wsn/page5.html.
the bible and black male sexuality(does size really matter?
)by firpo w. carr, ph.d.los angeles sentinel newspaper(october 25 - 31, 2007)it has been rumored from time immemorial that when it comes to genitalia, black men are generally more endowed than are men of other races.

I read the reason the "rumour" of black men being more endowed was because years ago slave traders tried to make out that black men were animistic and so painted them with big willies. Where as the more genteel males wanted smaller ones, they thought it was more "human"
The article gave the nude sculptures of men as evidence, they do seem to bit a bit on the small size

Giving Talks in the Ministry School
by lovelylil inanyone else here hate giving talks and refuse to do it?
the last two years i was in the borg, i was not in the school.
everytime the elder in charge of it approached me to "encourage" me to join again, i would have a melt down, cry and pretend i was so depressed and overwelmed that i just could not do that one thing for "jehovah", and i would act like i may commit suicide if he stresses me out over joining the school again.. i got out of it with 3 elders, in two different congregations.

I really , really hated it. It wasnt so much the doing it but the preperation. For the sisters it was really hard to find a setting. I felt I was writting a little play. It is such a waste of time, nobody listens to it except for the school overseer.
The funny thing is since ive been out 2 peeps who know I dont go anymore have asked me to help them with their talks I ended up writting the whole thing for them LOL

New arrangement for field service?
by Zico ini don't know if this is a worldwide thing because i didn't go the meeting where the arrangement was announced, but it's being done in my congregation anyway.
during those 6 months the member assigned to the pioneer is meant to make time to work with the pioneer as much as possible, so they can strengthen each other.
the idea is meant to be that eventually each member of the congregation will get a go.

I was assigned a pioneer to " help " me to become a pioneer myself. Well thats what the elder told me, he said I had great potential LOL.
Anyway it did help . I became really confident and got passed my introduction and into conversations But it soon dwindled after it finished.
I enjoyed it because the pioneer was a friend and we spent a lot of time chatting and generally having a nice bit of socializing time

JW's use Rose colored glasses to see each other.
by The Lone Ranger inhave you ever noticed how jws look at each other through rose coloured glasses.
no jw can do any wrong in the eyes of other jws.
even when its obvious that a jw has done wrong, they are always righteous to other jw"s, as long as a jw gos to meeting and does field service then he must be right with god and therefore must be right in the eyes of others jws.

I know what you mean. I knew a couple, she pioneered and ran up terrible debts, she bad mouthed her husband and eventually, when they split up, all the other pioneer sisters helped her clear the house. Well she must have been in the right cos she was still pioneering and her hubby had stopped going to meetingsright........................wrong after months he was vindicated and she moved to another country.
Shes still in , he never goes but everyone had to admit the wife was wrong

Exciting announcements at service meeting
by truthseeker inwe've already had a post on this, but there were other interesting comments.. the brother giving the announcements said that there would be a new understanding of jesus' reference to the generation as discussed at the annual meeting.. an elder giving a service meeting part review of different watchtower articles from the current year brought out the new light concerning 1935.. he asks: "when is the sealing of the anounted ones?".
elder answers: "there is no specific date".
later after the meeting, i asked an elder if the new understanding of the remnant now meant that younger people could go to heaven.. he answered with an affirmative "yes" and that we would be getting the new understanding of the generation jesus spoke of in a future 2008 watchtower.. .

I have already talked to my sister and daughter about the 95 generation change, neither of them even knew about it, as they were young at the time. I think I will take the opportunity to talk to them again on changing doctrines (before they have the announcement ) without telling them about the new changes and then when it happens hopefully alarm bells will start ringing
