How Do YOU Feel Knowing That YOU Were In A Cult?
by minimus infor years, i refused to think of the witnesses as a "cult".
too harsh and restrictive of a word for me......but there is no denying that we were all in a mind controlling cult.
are you embarrassed or uncomfortable knowing that you belonged to a cult just like the moonies and the branch davidians are/werw a cult?

I feel extremely sad, my childhood, my childrens young lives and now knowing my daughter is stuck in.
I want to wake up tomorow with the news, that the tower has gone, but its a dream. Just like my past, but that was a nightmare.

Can brothers wear "bow ties" instead of "ties"?
by JH inyesterday, a brother from another congregation gave the talk.
the first thing that i noticed was that he was wearing a "bow tie" instead of a conventional tie.
he was also black.

actually, i think i always knew what she told me, it just helped me clarify things somewhat.

On saturday, I was in tears, because I had put a lb on in weight instead of a pound off, after half staving myself all week. But what really got me all worked up was my husband asking me, had I been to the gym that week? what had I REALLY eaten? Shut the f... up .
He got all defensive when I explained "nicely" that I wasnt asking for advice thankyou but a little sympathy. ---------wheres the phone I need to talk to a girl !!!!!!!!

Elder keeping real reason priveledges taken away from own daughter.
by wordlywife inmy step daughter had her pioneer priveledges taken away from her.
the elders involved did not tell my husband what the real reason was for it.
she had done something months prior and that is what elder discussed with him, but that wasn't the real reason, something else happened to make them remove her priveldges, which i won't go into here.

If shes over 18 I dont think your intitled to know, as long as it doesnt effect you as a family. If your husband did something, and decided not to tell your daughter wouldnt it be wrong if the elders told her?
This is the whole problem though, ppl judging other ppl !
