Sorry for the spoof but I thought it was scarey ..............................well I did when I was 12 or was 21???, I'm not sure anyway.......................I know a ex-JW who was in our first cong, he was an occultist and in authority in his circle of occultists, he told everyone that he came to know the truth through the demons because they used to use Jehovah's name ???..........his family came in to the truth too. They all were quite strange......his son abused his sister, then when he got married he abused his own daughter (the son being an elder by this time)....his (the occultist) wife ran off with an "worldly" chap......in the end he left the truth and went back to the occult............can't say I blame him really !

the recent superstition thread got me to thinking.

growing up i was terrified of "demons".

sometimes when we would have witness gatherings they would start in to "demon" stories.

I had an experiance when I was in the Army, years ago. We were out on the moors occupying an large run down old house (bit like the Addams family home !), it had been empty for many years and the Army just used it to play games with. As kids we used to call it the haunted house !

At about 2.30am in the morning, it was mine and my pals turn for guard duty (always in 2's), the rest of the Company slept scattered amongst the various rooms on the ground floor. My pal was patrolling outside and I inside...to my relief, as it was cold and wet. I was sitting on the floor in an empty bedroom upstairs trying to stay awake when I heard a large thud down stairs....I didn't want to wake everyone by shouting to see if my pal was OK so I just went down and outside to investigate.....the problem was I couldn't find him anywhere so I went back into the house to see if he'd gone in through the other door?

As I walked into the old entrance hall I saw something move out of the corner of my eye but when I turned my head to see, there was nothing there! by this time I was starting to panic a little but being the brave soldier boy I was I had to keep my nerve, afterall there was about 50 other guy's there too. I could feel my hands trembling a little. Just then I thought I heard someone walking around upstairs, so off I went to see who it was?

Just as I started to climb the first set of stairs I saw something again out of the corner of my eye but this time when I turned my head to look, I saw what can only be described as something terrifying..it was without any doubt in my mind DEMONIC.....there was no sound only this demonic figure approaching me, it was about 2.5 meters tall, all black with big starey eyes, something was dripping from it, it was leaving what appeared to be a trail behind ?..................it was reaching out for me as if it wanted to take me somewhere. ....................As you can imagine, I just drop my rifle on the floor and ran up the stairs as fast as I could. When I reached the first floor I looked round and it was floating up the stairs after me, I was terrified because I thought it had gone!.......... so I kept on running up two more flights of stairs, noy stopping, until I reached the attic. When I got to the very top I looked down and was happy to see, whatever it was, had gone !..........By this time my heart was almost bursting out of my tunic.

To my horror, as I turned to sit down on the floor, ...........it was standing next to me, again about to touch me ! ........so this time without thinking I just ran and jumped through a small landing window, to my horror my Army webbing, the bags and pockets soldiers wear, got caught on the frame because the openning was so small, this time the demon grabbed my boot but I kicked it off, I kept struggling and struggling, I screamed for help but nothing came out, I kept trying to push myself through but I just didn't have the strength......... I couldn't get through!, ................................finally the thing grabbed my leg and pulled it..................................just like I'm pulling yours !

how many corporations are owned by the wts -what is it worth?

I've never heard of these.................what is the content, is there anything we don't know about?

Been visiting this site for a few weeks now and I must say it's really interesting and an eye opener to learn about the "truth" but the same old issues are mentioned time after time eg..........

The WTS doesn't ever address this situation---all those folks that were DFed and never given an apology.
All those who didn't get organ transplants because the WTS's "food from God" told them that it was cannibalism.
All those couples that never had children because the "end was just around the corner" and they should be putting all the time they could in service peddling literature.
All those that never went beyond a high school education because the WTS said it was a waste of time in this dying old system.
All the older folks that never put away insurance or any kind of funds to see them through their golden years, because the WTS told them 30 years ago that they wouldn't NEED it.

If it isn't the above being mention, its the "silent lambs" or "big business" or "the 1975" issue .......not wanting to play the SL one down but if as Sunspot says, the repetitive is ..........

" ........only the tip of the iceberg!"

Where is the rest of it.....................?

i've seen coverage of this band of celibates before.

they're one of the groups spearheading abstinance-based sex 'education' in the usa.. despite not one shred of proof that it works in reducing teen pregnancy or std infection rates, this is the flavour of the month under the bush administration.. in tv coverage i heard one of the councillers telling teenagers that condoms could not prevent the transmission of virus particles.

if the abstinance-based idea is such a good thing, i wonder why they have to misinform people?.

sorry to disagree but the principle of what they're doing is good, ..............(speaking as a father of a 20 year old girl).

I'm against the Christianity bit but it's about time somebody stuck up !!!!! for defending virginity, nobody has to bend to peer pressure, it should be a matter of choice. Kids have too much pushed into their faces on the TV about how cool and mature it is to sleep around etc. Its good that they see another view point,

Maybe the way that this "Christian" group is doing it is more of a problem....charging £10 per ring !....and tee shirts on sale etc.................nice work if you can get it.

......................woops just read all those innuendo'es......oh well ...how many can you spot?
