for those of you not "keeping up with the organization"botchtower deals soley with all the bullshit instances of "increased light" on this joke of a religion god's organization.

it asks many drone-like thought-provoking questions as i've listed below.

incredible that these guys claim to be the sole ownership of what is absolute "truth", yet change doctrines like i change lipsticks.

If this is the way to inform us about "new light is coming soon", they made the new light in a very early stage.

This article was a part of the assembley in 2005. If this is the way of introducing new light, then the new light is not very fast!

At the assembley the speaker listed and presented all the new light in the history of the WTS. He presented many new light items in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002. Very strange, because many of the new light was "between the lines" of the watchtower articles.

I wait and wonder.

Circuit Overseer Celebrities?

i am a active jw, but one question i would like to know is why do these 'men' get treated as superstar celebrities when they attend the congregation?.

for as long as i can remember, there seems to be a 'buzz of excitement' when it is announced that he and his wife are due to visit.

what is so special about them?.

It's in Europe the same! When the CO is in town, the atmosphere in the congregation is totaly different! The wive of the congregation overseer (who is not talking to me the whole year) greets me in front of the CO if I was her greatest friend. O what a great congregation, what a great elders and what a great wife of elders, do you see it dear CO?, that's what it is. And then the CO goes on stage and makes some stupid remarks about "when you do'nt preach, you make it difictult for the whole congretation, one for all, all for one... bluh....

i posted something a few days ago on friends regarding printing still being done in nyc.

i have some new info and am putting it under scandals because it doesn't move so fast.. i have family members that just returned from a trip to nyc.

they did the tours in brooklyn, walkill and patterson.

About my statements: I am very good informed about the WTS policy's and what they are doing arround the globe. But you gave yourself an answer in your first posting, when it becomes playing with words by WTS. They where represented by other associations. When the WTS says that they are not involved with the UN, they are right. The Watch Tower, Bible and Tract Society is not involved. The association of European Jehovah's Witnesses is involved, as you read in the UN document. That's the way it works at the moment in Adamsstreet.

I now much more about JW officials. But at this moment I will bring these facts not on the net.

What I do know is:

- the WTS is run by the legal office (patterson), and the profit is made by the treasury office (brooklyn).

The Dutch branche has a very low status in WTS world.

Hi,

Maybe you want to know what I think about it, as a JW:

I would like to see that the WTS joins up with the UN to improve the live of many poor people in developing country's. At this moment the WTS does selective aid by (the NGO) aidafrique. It could be much efficiënt by using the UN ground organizations. I think many JW would be proud to see that the WTS improves real help to poor people.

But about your case:

The WTS is playing with words. When they say that the Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society is no (longer) associated with the UN, then they are right. Because they use at this moment other corporations and associations when they visit UN and other forums. Many of the brothers - others than the rank and file - at the headquarters are traveling arround the globe to visit UN, UNHCR and other political forums.

It is time that "our" WTS plays with open cards. Otherwise they (and we as JW) will be surpassed by the truth, not only when it concerns UN and other political, religious and non-religious consultation but also when it concerns financial affairs. At last, the internal history of the WTS is one of the main threats for us inside the organisation. It is time to change!

first let me say hi to you all again.. have been away for some time as the new internet polecy in the company i work for, suddenly did not allow people to use the jwd site anymore.

(there is a filter to the sites that are allowed and not.

do not know why jwd was suddenly on the list of blocked sites, probably i did use it too much....).

JW response to latest hard line anti-education WT article?

based on some of the recent threads, it seems that the latest wt study article has created quite a stir within the congs.

for those of you that are still attending meetings and in active association with the cong, i am curious as to what the private response of individuals has been like.

i'm not talking about the usual, "wasn't that a great study?

In our congregation I heard 3 opinions about the article:

1. the most outspoken: witnesses with no education at all condemned to follow Higher Education, learning to be "a captain on a sinking ship".

2. some with a balanced view: "at the headquarters many brothers have followed Higher Education".

3. most of the witnesses did not answer the questions of these article at all.

But I think many of the cleaning-job witnesses will have no problem with this doctrine.

I was thinking: "how are the Higher Educated watchtower officials thinking about it.
