Your ex was probably duped in to downloading a file to get supposedly "free" pictures. Then that program would disconnect you from your ISP and dial the 900 #. It is most likely that wherever he downloaded it from did *not* say anything about the charges for using the new phone #. It is like a computer virus. I hope you were able to get the offending program off your computer.

ok, heres my question for all the ex-elders out there.. it will be announced thursday that my niece will be disfellowshipped.. the circumstances are not important to this discussion, but she is .
remorseful for her actions and has taken steps so it will not happen again.
she actually made a lot of sacrifices to try to make her mistake right.
I expect the reinstatement to come in a year.
I was never an elder, but my best friend was df'd for _apparently_ the same thing and that lasted for a year.
I hope she enjoys being alone...

Speaking of "apostate", I remember going to District assemblies and there was a person dressed in a gorilla suit outside. He held a sign saying "Don't let the Society make a monkey of you".
I remember my parents saying those were bad people.. "apostates".. But I always wanted to know what they had to say. But at the time, how could I?
I always thought "If what the Society says is so right, anything these people say could never hold up."
How wrong I was.....

what OS are you using? Cause unless the OS you are using is Win NT, 2K or BeOS the second processor is not really being used.

i belive the watchtower will fall.. maybe not now but in ten or twenty years its really going to be struggling.. it will be obvious to most in a few more years thay armageddon is not coming , 1914 is wrong etc.
"apostate knowledge" will become much more widespread due to the internet.. it is different to other religions in the fact that everyone is looking forward to armageddon in their life time.
it is the driving force for witnesses and will cause it to die.armaggedons no-show will cause bitter disappointment .. those who have left already , and have taken their families with them have stunted future groth as this is mostly made up of children of believers .. people are becoming better educated and more knowledgeable in general.. all the elderly ones will have died, with no link to the past ,and no armaggedon enthusiasm will die out.. this generation of witnesses may be the last.. (then i woke up)or did i?

How many people that saw 1914 will be reading the 100th anniversary Watchtower?
with the amount of things we can find wrong with the jehovahs witness organisation i feel i must ask , did we do any thing good as witnesses?.
i was helped to be more honest and caring by the information in the magazines, would i have changed other wise , i don't know?.
so some good is done , but on a minor scale .. but is this information printed about honesty morals etc,done out of concern that we should be better people , or concern that we should obey the rules of the organisation?.
