JW - non JW relationships
by sjf84 ini'm sure that if i had come to this website as a non-jw looking for information on this cult when i was dating my jw girlfriend, i would not have taken any notice of a message like this.
but i cannot stress this enough to any non-jw in a relationship with a jw: get out now!
it is only natural to believe that your relationship will be different to the other failed relationships between believers and non believers which you read about on boards like these.

What has always bothered me about the whole Williams sisters thing is that so many jw youths who had athletic talent were told by elders and parents (based on jw publications of course) that they could not participate in organized sports. And I do mean could not, not simply should not, in most instances. They just simply were not allowed to.
They get away with it the same way mini-weenie lover Michael Jackson did.."I make that check out to who? "

by Ranch inlast night my mate and i read three articles from the july 8th awake on adolescence & puberty.
i vasilated between laughing my ass off and being apalled.
the first article is only a one page intro to the next two articles, it is entitled, the joys and challanges of adolescence it basically says that we are "living in critical times hard to deal with"(2tim 3:1) so this adds to the pressures on youths.

Weird habits and trends of JW's
by Junction-Guy init seemed like from what i remember the jw's were always looking into so many alternative medicines and fad diets.
and those easy money schemes, does anyone remember these?
instead of just getting a college education they spent so much time looking into job alternatives.

I can imagine the article is as goofy as the Young People Ask book..I still have it and I read it when I want a good laugh.
WTS should get their heads out of their 90 year old butts and realize how hard it is, for teenagers to be differant than their peers.
