The 10% brain thing is bullshit.
I'm not going to argue over this too much. But it's something I've read and seen and heard in other places besides Watchtower publications. The point is enlightenment brings about the destruction of the ego and the possibility of a person to simply forever live in a state of who they truly really are.
It takes a certain type of person to pursue this kind of stuff (I admit, my personality is the sort) and that type of person is generally not going to pursue positions of great prominance or power.
This is a HUGE point LR makes. Remember, if enlightenment brings about the destruction of the ego, and ego is what drives people towards things like power and dominance, then it would make sense these people would not be attracted to such things. But remember, there are types of people who are enlightened and who do hold power. Jesus, Buhdda, Dali Lama, Ghandi, and others. They had "power" you could say, but only because they were simply BEING who they were. Not because of any other motives involving the usual ego driven variety.

Now, if you could prove to me that someone like Bill Gates (since DM works at Microsoft) had awakened his Kandalini years ago and that is the reason for his brilliant mind, well, I might give it more thought.
Bill Gates is probably the most unspiritual and unelightened being on the planet. Not to mention he bores me to tears at company meetings. You'd think after years of being in the public eye he'd take a public speaking course. He's a total nerd. He just happens to have a great, great intellect and a devious conniving nature and no sense of fair play. A perfect personality for running a major software corporation.
If kundalini happened to BillG, he would donate all his money to the poor and open up MS source code to the world. He would also give back Leonardo Da Vinci's sketchbook to a museum where it belongs. He'd also hopefully get a haircut and a new wardrobe.
