  what caused nimord's mother to name him something that had such a negative meaning and yet he turned out to be just that?

  That "Stupid and Weird Stuff in the Bible" site was quite interesting Legolas...

  Isaiah 13:21: "21 And there the haunters of waterless regions will certainly lie down, and their houses must be filled with eagle owls. And there the ostriches must reside, and goat-shaped demons themselves will go skipping about there. 22 And jackals must howl in her dwelling towers, and the big snake will be in the palaces of exquisite delight. And the season for her is near to come, and her days themselves will not be postponed.”

  I noticed that the NWT translates the word not as "satyrs" (like the fawn in The Chronicles of Narnia) but as "goat shaped demon". This seems kind of out of place though, because all the other creatures it mentions are natural animals. The eagle-owl, the strich, the jackal, the big snake... then the goat shaped demon. The writer must have been refering to a creature that he believed existed.

  The NWT translates as "wild bull" what the KJV translates as "unicorn". In Paslm 92, there is only one horn mentionned, that of the writer... In Deut 33, it again seems strange to talk about the "spendour" of the horns of a wild bull, but when you read it as unicorn, it kind of makes sence.

  The NWT is probably correct though in this instance, even though (apparently), the literal translation of the Hebrew word is "one-horn", i'll have to do a bit of research on the Hebrew word. Then again there may have been a mythical one-horned beast resembling a unicorn in Hebrew or Canaanite mythology. I'm not sure how true this is, it'd be interesting to have Leolaia's input on the matter.

  Exodus 4:24-26 "24 Now it came about on the road at the lodging place that Jehovah got to meet him and kept looking for a way to put him to death. 25 Finally Zip·po´rah took a flint and cut off her son’s foreskin and caused it to touch his feet and said: “It is because you are a bridegroom of blood to me.” 26 Consequently he let go of him.   So Jehovah is trying to kill Moses, for no apparent reason apart from the fact that he likes a bit of a tussle from time to time (recall Jacob wrestling with God in Gen 32:24) but then Zipporah thinks, "Why is Jehovah trying to kill my Mosey-Wosey?? Aha, i know what'll get rid of him i'll cut off the end of my sons penis causing him much pain and discomfort, and then touch the bloody foreskin on my husbands foot. That'll teach Jehovah to try and kill my beloved husband."... Jehovah goes off in shame, and Zipporah says "A bridegroom of blood, a bridegroom of blood" and cackles wickedly...

  Uses of The 4th Dimension (Einstein was wrong!)

  since i discovered the 4th dimension, one of the conclusions i have reached is, the 4th dimension is an infinite access to the truth.

  throughout this website, i use the term "i wish" - it is really a way to voice a person's desire - and from the work i have done - it really works.

  from the saying: "ask and you shall receive", i have understood that any human being can make an infinity of "wishes" and receive the truth (the correct answer) to every question they may have, in the form of a dream - that same night.

  I think of a dimension as something that I (or something) can move through.

  
  Well then in that case there are 4 dimensions you can move through and actually notice that you are moving through them.

  1. Width

  2 Length

  3. Height

  4. Time

  ...again the labels "width", "length" and "height" are not quite so accurate in describing the first three dimensions, because the 3 mix and merge together to form 3-dimensional Space. The 4th dimension Time is distinct. Its not worth talking about the 5th and further dimensions without twisting up one's brain into all kinds of knots, but the crux of the matter is that some particles are able to escape into the further dimensions thereby weakening their force or pull of attraction in the 4 dimensions that we can sence. Gravity for example is a very weak force in relation to some of the others, so it is said to exist primarily in a further dimension.

  Physicists have seen particles as disipating energy in other dimensions by positing them instead of non-dimensional points, as multi-dimentional strings, or multi dimentional (mem)branes. The singularity which started the Big Bang is said to have been an infinately small point with no length width breadth or time. It then unravelled into more and more dimentions. Think of this...

  a dot/period is 0-dimensional

  a line drawn on paper (string) is 1-dimensional, it is "long" and it has "length"

  the piece of paper (membrane) itself is 2-dimensional

  and a whole wad of paper is 3-dimensional

  the wad of paper is 4-dimensional... due to the fact that it doesn't just POP into existence for one micro-second then disappear from existence... it exists for a long "Time"

  This view is very simplistic because even the dot/period has 4 dimensions when you go onto a smaller level of scale, but these examples are just to help one get ones mind around the concept of dimensions. When we look at the edge of a pice of paper, it seems like a 2-D line, when in fact there is a whole piece of paper just beyond our vision... Similarly we are mutli-demensional due to the fact that many of the particles that make us up seem to be specks, when in fact they exist in other dimensions as strings or membranes that are "beyond our vision" as it were... the "dot" that is the particle, is only part of its protrusion into our level of dimensional awareness... Note too that linguistically, we use the word "length" to describe both physical and spacial length, and a length of time.

  job 6:6- will tasteless things be eaten without salt, or is there any taste in the slimy juice of marshmallow?.

  hmmm........marshmallow has slimy juice?

  wouldn't it taste kind of "sweet"?

  I didn't know they had marshmallows in ancient Israel, and i certainly didn't know they had "slimy juice" in them. Anyway, they're made out of gelatin nowadays, not mallow-extract.

  and secondly, there are 10 dimensions in string theory, 11 in brane-theory and 26 in bosonic space... through which one of those can you contact your soulmate, hmmm???

  Well from January to August 2005 i did not do ONE micro-second of field ministry, nor did i place any literature, but i submitted between 8 and 16 hours a month and several magazines each month to keep me up-to-date. In September 2005 i did quite a lot of ministry in my new congregation, but since October i've done about 4-6 hours each month but i have doubled it and reported between 8 and 12 hours and several magazines and return visits.

  So last year i reported about 150 fake hours of ministry in total.

  Proverbs 27:14 "He that is blessing his fellowman with a loud voice early in the morning, as a malediction it will be accounted on his part."

  I think Solomon just had enough of his wives waking im up in the morning, because straight after that he says:

  Proverbs 27:15 "A leaking roof that drives one away in the day of a steady rain and a contentious wife are comparable."

  He'd had enough of his wives and concubines nagging him all the time, LOL...

  The funniest though, is the love-song of Solomon. I always thought it was a strange way to address the woman you love. In a poem to the "black girl" with whom he is in love, he writes:

  Solomon1:1-5 "Your hair is like a drove of goats that have hopped down from the mountainous region of Gil´e·ad. 2 Your teeth are like a drove of freshly shorn [ewes] that have gone up from the washing, all of which are bearing twins, with none among them having lost its young ones. 3 [...] 4 Your neck is like the tower of David, built in courses of stone, upon which are hung a thousand shields, all the circular shields of the mighty men. 5 Your two breasts are like two young ones, the twins of a female gazelle, that are feeding among the lilies."

  Theres even a verse in there which i can't find at the moment, but which describes the woman's vagina as sweet as honey. Most translators translate it as "lips" though... WTF is that all about?... and why are these verses included in a supposedly "holy" work of inspiration from God. I always used to look at this scripture when i had doubts that all scriptures were not actually inspired of God, it was a big help in opening my eyes, lol.

  During the 2004 District Convention, me and a friend of mine got to sit alone together, and we were laughing endlessly at the Song of Solomon, causing the "brothers and sisters" around us to hiss "shhhhh" at us, hehehe.

  Diet and lifestyle change

  i've recently made a diet and lifestyle change as part of a new years resolution of sorts.

  i'm just going to give myself some incentive to stick with it by listing it here for all on jwd to see.

  the reason why i've started this is that, although i'm not fat, i noticed that in the last couple of years i've lost my bottom abs.

  I've recently made a diet and lifestyle change as part of a New Years Resolution of sorts. I'm just going to give myself some incentive to stick with it by listing it here for all on JWD to see. The reason why i've started this is that, although i'm not fat, i noticed that in the last couple of years i've lost my bottom abs. I don't want a beer belly which my grandfather had, and i don't want to exacerbate the traits of diabetes which run in my family. I've been able to keep these up for almost two weeks already and i already feel my energy levels rising, and my concentration at university improving. If anybody else has any comments or suggestions, please go ahead and post...

  Diet changes:

  Cutting down on refined carbohydrates like white sugar, white rice, cakes, biscuits and white bread, replacing with unrefined brown cane sugar, brown rice, brown pasta and whole wheat bread.

  Limit sugar and sweets intake to one teaspoon on brown sugar per day, or one teaspoon of honey, and/or three small cubes of dark soya-milk chocolate. (Strong antioxidant, so will cause spots for a while.

  Always start the day with a breakfast. Never skip it.

  Eat unsweetened cereals as part of my breakfast. CornFlakes instead of Honey Nut CornFlakes, but mostly porridge and Weetabix.

  Have a glass of fruit juice and a fruit such as a grapefuit for breakfast.

  Have a hot green tea before i leave the house. (Another strong antioxidant, my uncle has been drinking it and came out with huge bumps; the impurities coming out)

  Due to my excema-like skin problem, i've already for a while been refraining from adding milk to my morning cup of tea. I'm now cutting all dairy products out of my diet for a while, and replacing them with soya substitutes, to see if there is a difference

  Increase fruit and vegetable intake to at least 5 portions a day. Keep a full vegetable section in the fridge and a full fruitbowl. Increase the size of vegetable portions.

  Increase intake of oily fish such as sardines and makerel to at least two portions per week.

  Reduce meat intake to one portion every two days at the most. Eat lean red meat and white meat instead of fatty red meat. Small portions.

  Instead of sweets/candy/bonbons, nibble on dried apricots, dried figs, olives, grapes, raisins/saltanas and pistacio nuts.

  Reduce or cut out alcohol intake. No beer, no lager. Limit to one bottle of red wine per week, with meals.

  Drink at least 2 litres of water a day, sweetened with half a lime or lemon per litre.

  Lifestyle changes:

  Wake up at 6.30am to take a brisk half hour walk around the nearby park before eating breakfast.

  Go swimming every tuesday morning at 7.30 for one hour before i go to university

  Walk to the train station 2 miles away instead of taking the bus.

  Buy a bike and ride to university or work. Ride or swim for an hour each day on weekeneds.

  Go to bed early enough to be able to get at least 8 hours of sleep a night.

  Give eyes a rest by limiting computer use to 2 hours of non-esential use. (Plus of course the essentials like writing an essay or researching for university coursework)

  BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That is soooooo funny... and the 4th one (Jehovah God) is funny as well, do you realise that in the 1st one he is saying "I want to"? Now where have i heard THAT before? hehe. I'd love to have those in my collection, is there a way to download them, or would i have to ask him?
