I love Spider-man. He was and still is my favorite super hero. That scene really got to me (I have to admit, a lot of parts from both of the movies make me a little misty).
The villain I think everyone is waiting for is the Symbiote. I know I'd love to see Venom show up, and maybe Carnage eventually. Other than that, I'd like to see Mysterio or Kraven the Hunter.
SPOILER WARNING
The whole Green Goblin thing, though, that's how it happens in the comics. Norman dies and Harry seeks revenge. And there's the whole Hobgoblin thing as well. There were four of them. I think I remember some comics about fights between Spiderman, the Green Goblin, AND Hobgoblin. That would make a great movie.

I know a guy who's girlfriend does yoga, and he's always bragging about how flexible she is, and how that relates to the sinful life they lead together! Yep, yoga really is from Satan!

What do you make of this picture?
by heart2heart inmum took this picture in the summer (she loves to photograph flowers, mushrooms and insects) and this one really shocked us - look at the head of the moth!
to us it looks like a little human head!
very strange.

The original version of The Fly was released in 1958, and was in black and white. I believe that picture is from the 1986 remake starring Jeff Goldblum. The original is a classic, the remake is not.
That's a freaky picture, though. Could it be... The Mothman? 99 will die... -

Do you believe in ghosts?

I love a good ghost story. I read up on EVP, orb photography, all that stuff, and I think it's all pretty cool. I watch Ghost Hunters when I can. That show's entertaining to say the least. I believe some of it's real, some of it's some guy pretending that a ghost punched him in the chest and sat on him. Speaking of the sci fi channel, my brother was on an episode of Proof Positive, when they did a show about two ghosts haunting the restaraunt he works at. One's name is Frenchie, and it's apparently a nice ghost that likes to arrange bottles of wine into geometric patterns. Yeah, sounds French to me. :P The other one is a mean ghost that apparently pushed one of the waitresses down a flight of steps when she going down to the basement to get something, causing her to break her ankle.

White Noise :_:

Scariest part about that movie? A lot of the EVP wasn't made for the movie. It was actual EVP recorded by paranormal investigators at the AA-EVP.

I donated blood today at a local blood drive and...
by stichione in...i feel great!
i have been a jw almost all my life, and at a little over 40 years old, for the first time i donated half a litre of whole blood, and i am told it can be used to save 4 people!
i can't tell you how terrified i was to be spotted by a jw, although they would also have had a hard time explaining their presence at the clinic.

I gave blood two weeks ago, and went to the meeting later that night. I passed out after the meeting was closed and I was leaving. The official story is that I stood up too fast.

Jay-Hovah uh-huh / uh-huh
by prophecor indoes anyone know what the deal is with rapper sean carter, aka jay-z and his refering to himself as jay-hovah?
its a pretty close call naming yourself such by jw standards possibly bordering on blasphemy.
does anyone know if he may've been associated with jw's at some time, and if he was, whether his choosing of the name might be a response to his no longer believing the teachings of jws?
-

Jehovah's not just limited to JWs, more people use it, but don't let the WTS hear you saying that.
I don't know about Jay-Z, but Ja Rule had some loose JW ties when he was a kid. It's likely that Jay-Z has a run in with the JWs as a kid, but I think he's just messing around more than anything.

What is your favorite silent film, and why?
by avishai ini really think silent film is a lost art that is still somewhat valid.
my favorite is metropolis.
-
Snowcrash
Metropolis, of course! And Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde is great... But who could ever possibly forget Nosferatu?! Tied with Metropolis for my favorite silent movie.
Has anyone seen the anime version of Metropolis? It's really good. Even if you aren't into anime, this is one of the anime movies you can appreciate, like Akira and Princess Mononoke.

Something I read here, actually.
"A man without God is like a fish without a bicycle."
