i had to sit out sex ed classes and also evolution classes (yep, pretty much all science classes).. oh, and i wasn't allowed to participate in music class several times.....besides the usual holiday music, once we had to do a play [oklahoma i think] and my character was supposed to say i had a flat chest.

funny, because the youth book is much racier than that.. oh, and gym class when we did yoga stretching.

satan sure is tricky.. did you have to sit out certain classes?.

We didn't have "sex ed" classes when I was a kid.

It was all "on the job training".

In response to Mickey mouse.... This is my pet-peave right now. ( I change occasionally) :)

I think it's a matter of the time zone here. People that were in this position in the 1980's didn't sue like people of today. Today, you can get sued for anything, and everything. That's why the Watchtower is being more careful now how they "back out" of their "scriptural" laws, (flaws) according to their interpretation of the bible.

I could never understand that either, until I realized it is a different society today than it was in the early 80's. Plus, the j.w.'s in those days...maybe also today? wouldn't sue the Watchtower Society, because even though they lost a loved one to the ridiculous practice of refusing organ transplants, would never THINK of sueing "God's Channel of Communication."

I hope I am wrong here.

Bailey's first Birthday

my youngest granddaughter turned 1 today.

her birthday was cellebrated saturday.

she inhaled her cake... i'm so happy that my kids and grandkids can be normal... and celebrate birthdays and holidays!.

first, off i would like to say to leolaia you are my idol, and i would love to just sit with you and pick your brain about a variety of topics.

Well, I finished reading your post, JWT.

I would take "Oompa"s" advice, and lay low, tell them that you are just spiritually weak and need a little time to get back into it. Then, just fake it to keep your nephew in your life.

Also, it might be a good idea to "make a deal with them", tell your brother and his wife (and your Mom and Dad) that you won't mention any more negative stuff about the Watchtower Society. (In order to keep your nephew in your life).

I surely hope you don't lose him. This is the only way I can see you possibly keeping the peace, at least for now. In the meantime, do more research, post any questions you want to on here, and we will all try to help you as much as we can.

Good luck, and again, welcome. (Thanks for the Revelation gem. I am already documenting that for my records).

I collect all of the material that I can find that the Watchtower reverses on, from their own writings.

People finding this site...

it has been a while since i have come here.. i noticed the other day that when i searched for jehovah's witnesses, the first page in google was almost all pro jw pages, or at the very least neutral, stating only non-controversial facts.. it wasn't until page 2 that jwn (is that how this site is reffered to?

or is it still jwd?

) actually showed in the results.. i seem to remember that jwd ranked on first page, as that is how i found it.. is it worth trying to get this site on page 1 for jehovahs witnesses?

I also noticed that when this site had started, I tried typing in "JWN", and came up with another site that would screw up my computer. So, new people may have a problem coming to this site if they use that for a search. I never had a problem using "JWD", when it was the jwd site.

So, that could be affecting how many people come in here, new and old.
