hello, everybody, i know this has book has been discussed in threads before, but i just read it and am upset.

guess i need to talk.. i swear, i could have written a lot of it myself.

it has brought up issues and memories i haven't thought about for years.

Yes, Anne, I've read it and tried to push people into reading it, also.

Some on here have the book, and tried to "get into it", but as you know, the first 4 or 5 chapters are a bit tough to follow, because Joy flips back and forth in different time periods.

However, I've always mentioned that once you get past these few chapters, you won't be able to put the book down.

Joy and her brother have been through a horrible childhood that no one deserves to go through. Anne, if you have been through even one tenth of what these kids went through, then I feel so sorry to hear you have.

Please, if anyone on this forum has this book, I beg you to read it. It IS very disturbing.

Talked with Old High School buddy after 30 years - I apologized

this was something i was wanting to do for a long time .

i knew this friend as far back as elementary school, we played tennis together in high school , played music and sang together in his band a little.

a very nice guy who i was close to until age 19. but because of my jehovah's witness upbringing it changed at 19.. long story short, although my witness parents allowed me to associate with this friend and other non-witness friends, in 1979, my then fanatic witness fiance laid the law down to me that we could not have any non-witness friends at our wedding.

That took a lot of courage, Flipper, but I am happy it worked out for you. It's kind of like removing that albatross from around your neck. What a relief, eh?

Mouthy, I re-read the thread called "Blood lawsuit goes forward....." and have to say, you are right, "The Research Lady" is NOT Richard Rawes wife.

I read it wrong. I even had to go back and re-read it again.

I apologize, Mouthy, I don't like it when I make a false statement, and I'm glad you caught it.

Now I'll go to my room, and never come out again.

Also on the call will be Richard Rawe, a former Jehovah's Witness who has so much information to share with us on what he knows about the real truth behind the WAtchtower organization. Richard is a prolific collector of Watchtower publications, including some very rare and nearly obscure publications. He has also collected literally tons of newspaper articles and press releases concerning the Witness movement. He will be sharing some of this with us. Also, we wil be talking more about the strategy for the mass exodus coming up in August 2009.

Notice the last line in this paragraph?

I didn't know the "The Research Lady was in fact Richard Rawe's wife, who, as some on here feel that he is just promoting another type of religious belief. Perhaps I should have read some of the research ladies other posts before posting this.

For this, I apologize for not doing my homework (again).

However, what I was concerned about is the statement she made in the "Blood lawsuit" thread about talking about the "mass exodus in August 2009". That's all I was concerned about.

If there is really no truth to this statement, made by "The Research Lady", and quoted by me, then I sincerely apologize for starting this thread, and gettting everybodies drawers in a twist.

However, if there is any truth in this statement, then I would like to see someone who listened to the conference call post something here to verify that.

I feel that this needs to have it's own thread, and I think that since "The Research Lady" is a new poster, she may not realize the importance of such a statement.

So, I decided to start a new thread on this subject, in the hope that it gets more responses, and won't be lost in a thread of a different subject, such as the title of the original thread which is "Blood law suit goes forward......... ".

I hope this is okay to do, as I am not trying to hijack a thread, but only trying to bring out an important part of it for whoever has more information on it, to be able to find the thread much easier.

Did Noah's Ark have a Bilge Pump?

all wooden ships leak to some extent, so what did noah do about the accumulation of water?.

a bilge pump would have been essential.. did the noah's ark writer really know or have any experience about the construction of large wooden ships?.

Leolaia, would Noah know how to put an "expansion joint" in the center section of the ark, like they do in large freighters today?

That would have been some great technology in those days.
