i am working on a david letterman type of ?top ten list?
to publicize my seminars with local churches.
sort of the top ten reasons a pastor would want his parishioners to become more familiar with the beliefs and practices of jehovah's witnesses.
How about something like:
Become a Jehovah's Witness, and you may lose family, friends, and your religious outlook.
i was looking on page 22 of this forum, at radars' post of december 15, '01, which said "what made you a j.w.?

Thanks, Avishai, I am going to pick that book up.
Can you give me examples of some of the "leading questions"? It might help me get started, without scaring them off.
Thanks again.... Hubert

Bubbamar, I am leaning towards looking at other cult similarities, for the reason that I know I can't discuss W.T. doctrine with my daughter anymore, she just won't listen to it. We do have a good father/daughter relationship, so that's a good step forward. Thanks for the advice.
Tall texan, I have the book "In search of Christian Freedom, but it is so thick, and I'm such a slow reader, I get discouraged to start reading it. But, you've helped me make up my mind. I read on my lunch break, and I'm going to start reading it tomorrow, and bring it with me wherever I go, so maybe it won't take me two years to read it all. LOL !! Thanks for the "push". ............... Hubert

the nwt bible at john 20, verse 25, clearly states "unless i see in his hands, the print of the nails, (plural) and stick my finger into the print of the nails, (plural) and stick my hand into his side.
is the plural nails a typo?
so, if this be the case, then why on page 66 of the knowledge book show the "god inspired" illustration of jesus on a stake with "one nail" (singular) through his wrists?
Some of you people are so funny !! I'm roaring !! ie: (Ride em Roman cowboy):cyber-sista
I had to look at the illustration in the "Knowledge" book again, to realize you are right, Gordy. Even my wife laughed, and she's very religious!
Send me more !!! LOL !!
(could do a whole lot better in the art dep't.)....That's my point too, cyber-sista
