  satan said to jehovah "they only serve you, cos of what they can get out of you" or words to that effect.

  this is only my opinion but what do you think?.

  a few : i believe serve god cos they love him.. some: they want to see someone they love who has died again.

  i think the bible was just made to discredit satan, and poor beel-zebub doesn't have a chance to defend himself.
  
  did you ever ask yourself:
  if this world is ruled by satan and the bible is god's word, why do so many false religions use the bible?
  
  the answer is simple - the bible tries to cover the fact, that satan actually is our loving father and the biblegod is only making trouble. it's all about media coverage...

  umm.. sorry, you either misunderstand me or you misinterpret the original article...
  
  the way i read it, the 8 year old was not sexually molested, he was seduced. they even wrote love-letters and that's why his mom found out, not because of him acting rare.
  
  and no, no joke, when i was 8 years old i would have loved to do "you know what" to my teacher. no joke.
  
  (says someone, who was sexually abused by his male non-witness cousin, so don't think i'm just being funny here)

  they removed two rows of seats in our kingdom hall, still it's pretty empty most of the time. only at the circuit overseer's visit the hall is full... gotta make a good impression, ya know.

  maybe its religion, the religious elemnet found in most western countries but to a much larger degree in the us.

  the nazis didnt blame judaism as a religion, they blamed "the jews", wich was (and still is, for people with homo-florensis-like brains) used as an equivalent for throat-cutting capitalists.
  
  good people do good things, bad people do bad things
  but religion makes good people do bad things.
  
  same thing for nationalism and that stupid patriotism.

  i've been out for 8 years, and for the first time in my life i am doubting.. not big doubts, but little ones.

  it's all the middle east and the "peace and security" talk.

  i feel like armageddon is coming.. the brainwashing never ends.

  i think what you still need to do is "destroy your faith". have a look at critical views on the bible, skeptic and atheist sites, that helps a lot...

  i know that it's a difficult situation, but uh...
  
  if you really love that friend, why didn't you try to plant that little seed in her brain that would make her think? you are probably right to not expect her to instantly change all her beliefs, because there's a lot to it, but seeds grow with time...
