  If you were God ,The Creator of all things, how would you handle rebellion?

  so many times we second guess god or our conception of him and we discuss why this or that does not make sense or could not be, or is not fair.. then how would you if you were god (with unlimited power) handle rebellion?

  the creator aint that creative after all. do or die. there are game designers out there who are much more creative.
  
  "world of warcraft" anyone? it's a fantasy online gaming world. if you are killed, you can be revived in several different manners. you can talk to the angel at the graveyard to bring you back to life, a fellow gamer with special skills can revive you or your spirit has to run and search for it's body. now that's cool, isn't it?
  
  a way to handle "rebellion"? you mean satan wanting to be god? hey, that's a simple one -
  
  satan: "daddy, i want to be like you!"
  me: "that's alright, son, you'll get a brand new planet for christmas, and it'll be all yours to command"

  More fun with witness urban myths.....

  i have heard many urban myths associated with the watchtower society and its hapless adherents.

  i like the one where an "interested one" accepted the invitation to attend the memorial one year, and sat next to a "sister" who let the confused attendee use her bible to look up scriptures as they were presented.

  afterword, the "sister" walked the man up to the circuit overseer, who had delivered the talk that year, and introduced the dupe-filled "study" to the co. the co complimented the man on his spiritual interest and asked what impelled him to come up and talk to him.

  another true story, by valid sources:
  
  a jw youngster has an accident and is brought to the hospital. the evil doctors tells him a blood transfusion would be necessary. he explains he'd be a jw and jw's don't do blood, because j-ho don't like that. because of his age the doctor decides to test if our young brother's really serious about his faith, so he asks him to list all the books of the bible.
  
  JUST IMAGINE IF HE WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN ALL THE BOOKS BY HEART!

  this one's true too ;-)
  
  one brother in south africa had to do some really important thing, delivering literature or something like that. he had to stop at a traffic light. as there are so many criminals in south africa and the window of his car was open, one of those many many south african criminals came along, reached for his throat and tried to strangle him. BUT it was not time to die, as the literature was not delivered yet! he just quickly casted the jehovah spell, the criminal was instantly paralized and our fellow brother drove away. looking back he still saw the criminal standing there unable to move.
  
  another true story:
  
  a printing machine in some asian island, the philipines probably, had to be moved to another building. but it was too big to get it through the door and it had to be moved quickly. even though it supposedly was going to rain, the brothers decided to remove the roof of the house to get out the machine (don't know how they would do that, helicopter?). you know what? it started to rain, BUT only around the house. the only place it didn't rain was right where the house was, so they could move the machine without wetting it.

  it was no problem for me sitting there this time either. last year i was struggling inside if i should parttake or not, as i still believed some of the jeezus part of the bible. this time i wasn't paying attention, it was over quick. i caught a few disturbing theological views, but it didn't matter to me.
  
  all that "offering free bible-studies to those who still don't have one" usually bothered me when still believing, as i always viewed it as a real turn-off. this time i was glad they did, because the whole talk really was a commercial to the wtbs and removed all the "holiness" of the "celebration". the "announcement" to the first-timers was read off a letter, didn't understand the sense of this.
  
  another thing that used to bother me, but is perfectly cool now was the ending song. it's something about jesus destroying everyone soon... i wish i could have read the thoughts of the visitors. ah yeah, there were not many anyways.
  
  the logic about only very few parttaking was really amusing. the proof that only a few can take from the symbols was: last year some 16.000.000 or so were attending the memorial, but only some 8.000 parttook. talking bout circular reasoning to it's best.

  tonights memorial

  a scripture was read during the talk i never thought of before, 1cor 11:26 which says:"for as often as you eat this loaf and drink this cup, you keep proclaiming the death of the lord, until he arrives.".

  if he arrived in 1914, why do we still "eat this loaf and drink this cup"?

  i thought about going to see how many of the old pub.

  i would know at the memorial.

  when the time came to get ready to go i had this feeling of anxiety so i just kept watching tv.

  i went. was not as bad as i thought it would be. last year was worse, because i still believed a bit of that jesus stuff, and thought i would have to take from the symbols. this time i was just sitting in the back, listening to an old brother's jokes, chewing bubble gum and passing over the passover quickly.

  i met someone in a german "bible forum" who was dfed for apostasy, then went back, then was dfed again for apostasy... lol. he's still very into jwism though, uses mostly the nwt and much of jw theology.

  Jesus Christ! Is this a contradiction?

  the other day while rereading the scriptures about the last supper, i spotted something that is very interesting.. mathew 26:23 reads:"in reply he said: "he that dips his hand with me in the bowl is the one that will betray me.".

  the above doesn't make much sense to me because it implies that one would have to give himself away by doing exacly what jesus said the betrayor would do.

  now, look at how john words the same event in john 13:26:"therefore jesus answered: "it is that one to whom i shall give the morsel that i dip".

  i've noticed there are a lot of jw's in good standing on here these days... i know its a small sample but it seems promising.. any current circuit overseers/district overseers post on here, that would be crazy.

  i lost my microphone passing/literature slinging/sound guy/wt-reading/bookstudy reading and praying ... "privileges" not too long ago. because of my attitude, they said. this is work a ms should do, if possible, and if there are not enough ms around to do the jobs, someone with equal qualities should be used. and i don't have those qualities anymore, they said. i said, no problem.
  
  now they were asking me if i could do this and that again, i said yes, but never showed up.

  i am reasonable. everyone else is not. don't even try to change my stance on that.
