i feel deeply for wanderlustguy, when he describes what his father was like with young girls....incidentally, the reason i was disfellowshipped (among other things) was because i had an affair with a much older 'brother' in the cong.
i was just 14 at the time, and being naive and completely under his influence, i believed myself to completely in love with him and believed he felt the same way for me.

lets see
friday night - dual birthday party for a couple of my good friends. going downtown to a bar called "around the corner". it's a new bar i have never been to so i'm looking forward to that. probably stay out until 2 AM and then take a cab home with some hot broad.
saturday - going to BMW dealership to pick up a couple parts, installing said parts and then detailing the whip. 2 PM starts the cookout/pool party/vollyball at the apt complex. throwing it in conjunction with a few apt neighbors. then from there going to another house party. probably staying out late again.
sunday - sleeping in and then heading out to meet some car buddies for a car meet and cruise. come home a get stooooooned!

Have you ever got up in the middle of a meeting, bored, and just left?

first of all, let me say that just about every meeting i attended was a sacrifice for me.
i was a follower, not more.

yeah i used to do this all the time. while i was in college and living by myself the meeting night fell on the sma e night a $6 bottomless cup at The Cantina. I would head out of the meeting during the announcements ( i always sat in the back) and then go home change real quick and meet my buddies at the bar. $6 for all you can drink was a hellova deal!

For the Gearheads...What happens when you have too much time...

I'm sure WLG bought them already drilled and slotted instead of machining them himself.
As far as projects go, Project Turbo M3 is on hold for the mean time due to purchasing a house. As it stands now I have a performance chip, cold air intake, lightweight flywheel, short throw shift kit, stiffer tranny mounts, stiffer rear strut mounts, HID headlights w/ angle eyes. Next will prbably be new wheels, I want to get the 18" M3 CSL replicas and a fully adjustable suspension. Then the next step will be for me to purchase a daily driver that I can putt around in while I do some major engine work to get it ready for some boost. Once all the engine work is done I'll be routing the piping for the intake, turbo, intercooler, and pruchase a 4" turbo exhaust w/ no cats (my car is a 1995 so next year I won't have to pass emissions whooohooo). It's going to be a long project but well worth it when I'm done. It's going to be a really nice weekend track car.

I was actually thinking about this last night. I was thinking about how even though my relationship with my parents is pretty good despite me being disfellowshipped, I still hate that every time I see them or talk to them that they tell me that they still have hope for me coming back despite how much I tell them that I will not. So the next time they try and put the guilt trip on me and tell me that they can't be happy until I come back I'm going to say...
"Listen! The fact that you guys are so unhappy because of a religion that encourages you to shun your own son, is enough for me to never want to be a part of that religion again. If you would do some research for yourself in books, not published by the WTS, you would find out that scripture can have mutliple interpretations and sometimes the interpretations make more sense then the interpretation given by the WTS. And if you do some research into the history of the Bible and Christianity you'll find that it's built on very shaky ground. You must come to the realization that you are unhappy because of the religion that you choose to follow, not because of me. And don't telll me that the BIble says this and that becasue I don't even believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. So this is where we stand. You can take it or leave it but know this. I am a good person and I believe that when it comes to good people vs. bad people that I am on God's side. I don't have all the answers for what is going to happen when we die or what the future holds but I do have enough confidence to trust in God that whatever does happed he will take care of me. I'm sorry that our relationship as a family is comprimised but please open your eyesto see the REAL reason why it is."
