i'd like to have my dive master's certification, my own dive boat and a dive shop somewhere tropical so I can take people out on dive trips. either that or be a professional race car driver.

I'm an NC State fan and we barely lost to Virginia Tech this weekend. it was a great game and i think the pack put up a good fight being that we aren't ranked and VT is ranked 8th. Man I love football season!!

I quit smoking, wish me luck

its something i have been thinking of trying for a while, and i finally got round to it.
it was a tough day and a sleepless night, i probably had a couple of hours, and i am under no illusions about today being any easier.

Would you go back?
by Stress Free inwhen i was an active witness it was quite noticeable that when world shattering events took place, such as a disaster, tensions between major nations, war in iraq or events like that of 9/11 the meeting attendance would drastically improve.
this was mainly due to ones whom you rarely saw flocking back because they thought armageddon was coming.
what if this almost impossible scenario occurred.

my parents keep on nagging me to come back. i don't think it's going to stop so i have an idea. i'm going to make a folder that has all the info about 607 vs. 586/7 BCE, the UN scandle, why refusing blood transfusions is not biblical and maybe a coupe other goodies and tell them that i will go back to the meetings if they both first read all the info in the folder, read crisis of conscience and read realesing the bonds and combating cult mind control by steve hassan. afterwords i want to talk to them about everything they learned and hope that they will see why i don't want to go back to meetings.

once i totally didn't believe it was the truth i thought for sure i was going to die at armageddon because my faith wasn't strong enought to understand that this was really the truth.. since then i've gotten over those feelings and have always said i feel the witnesses are a cult.
maybe not as destructive a cult as jim jones, but a cult nonetheless.

How many of you had assembly parts?
by rebel8 ini was just remembering i had a part in an assembly part once.
i was a fresh new pioneer (who never, ever made my time, lol) just out of high school.
they gave me a brief part to say i was glad i didn't go to college and how i turned down a good job to pioneer.

i did the number 2 talk, bible reading, at the circuit assembly when i was 15. i had practiced it so many times that i knew the whole bible reading by heart. i remember being nervous but it was cool when it was over.

Ever go to a meeting DRUNK?

we were both inactive dubs but still half - assed on the fence.
one night i came home from work and there was a slew of beer bottles all over the living room, and my buddy slouching on the couch in his suit and tie, beer in hand.

one time i went to the meeting with the worst hangover ever. i threw up in the bathroom a couple of times and then told my parents i was sick and needed to go home. they let me have the car keys and they got a ride home with some friends. i threw up again when i got home and then went to bed and slept for 4 hours. that day sucked balls!
