hope you are all well.. if you have been following the soap-opera of my life and the letter i wrote my dad then you may be interested in the latest.. my dad has been here visiting and we had a good long talk yesterday about my letter and what has brought me to the decision to leave the org.

he listened to everything i had to say and agreed with everything i had to say.

beards not a rule but!!!

this caught my eyes and reminded me when as a ministerial servant that we had to go into the back room for instructions from the po (not very clever man), he tried his best to explain to us ms and elders about the wearing of beards in the congregation.

he must have gone on and on for 30 minutes about not having beards, but kept impressing that this was not a rule, but beards should not be worn, but its not a rule, just dont expect to have any privileges if you grow one on your face and wear it (sounds like you wear it like a tie he he) but we are not making it a rule, just dont wear a beard.

HAHAHAHA...i have the funniest beard story. when i was about 17 i grew a small soul chip under my lip. while at break during sat. morning service one day one of the elders commented about it. he said "you won't be able to read the watchtower on stage if you keep that beard". i told him that it was a soul chip and if he had such a big problem with it then take it up with the PO who also has a soul chip, however he was black. man did i get in some hot water over that. i ended up shaving but it was nice to make my point known. looking back i find it quite humorous.

checking in from raleigh nc. just a thought....western nc, as in the mountians, might not be the best place during the winter months. granted this winter has been very mild so far, but my car does NOT do well in the snow. i think that charlotte would be a great place to meet though. plus i have friends that i can crash with if need be down there. so what kind of date was everyone thinking.
