  the nightmare of the wts is, more than ever, becoming a reality and is making a difference in how people research about the teachings and history of jws.

  i'm speaking, of course, about the internet.. they call the period that we are living in the information age and that is more apparent with each passing day.

  have you noticed how many new people are showing up at just this one site and saying they are leaving the jws because of the lies or saying they have been contacted by jws and maybe even studied and want to learn what they aren't telling?

  How Many Here Are "Technically" Still JWs???... Who's Not??

  what i mean is according to the society, there are a number of persons that are "technically" "inactive" yet are viewed as jws still.

  i'm sure that i'm viewed as a witness still because i am not df'd or disassociated.....what about you??

  doing so would be allowing the WTS to have some sort of control over me. If I don't believe what they teach, why should I allow myself to be df'd, or especially why should I da myself?

  some may say that to continue to be counted as a member is not only 'playing the game' (working the 'loophole' of no shunning as long as the org has placed...or not placed...a certain label on you) but you are in effect on a very tiny scale helping to encourage the active witnesses (assuming the org doesn't pad their numbers as it is).

  i look at it kind of like not buying sweatshop clothing. "what is really going to change if one person stops supporting the 'machine' of sweatshop labor?" nothing. but what if a million people do? what if a million people wait and do nothing? the problem will get worse and more innocent people will suffer.

  i don't know if i'm saying it right. i just mean that i believe that for me to continue to be counted (even as 'inactive') would be lending my '1' to a column on a chart that i really don't want to, and can't support anymore.

  hey guys,.

  remember a few years ago when cell phones were first really catching on and there was a big deal about the radiation possibly causing brain tumors?

  supposedly, some people were turning up with tumors on the side of their head that they use their cell phones on.

  Remember a few years ago when cell phones were first really catching on and there was a big deal about the radiation possibly causing brain tumors? supposedly, some people were turning up with tumors on the side of their head that they use their cell phones on. it was on dateline or primetime or nightline...one of those "lines" or "times"...maybe all of them. they said it was the antennae that was the problem. but then i didn't really hear about it anymore.

  now they say that cell phones in dudes pockets leaves them all but sterile. (maybe that's actually a good thing...)

  i was just wondering if anyone had heard anything else about dangers from cell usage. seems that the world is in a heap of trouble if this stuff is for real.

  DA'd as of a month or two ago. look for me in the 2004 Worldwide Report next January! i'll be the one that's not being counted anymore!
