Ive made the decision of going to A&M, staying at home, doing the NROTC program even if i dont get the scholarship, getting my aerospace engineering degree, and they made it clear i dont have to do anything with the religion anymore. i just accepted the offer from A&m, man im so happy, just hoping ill get that navy scholarship now.

know how i can claim as independent on my FAFSA? i just got Form W-4 today, and my dad says i cant claim myself as independant on it. I dont know why. is it cuz i live with my parents still? My parents bring a heavy income so I know i wont be getting any financial help if I claim as dependant.

Ok in 5 months I could move out of the house, when i turn 18 on may 5, with my teacher who offered me to stay for a few months until i go to college or I could room with my friend whose got an apartment not far from here. Or I could stay at home starting at June 1 i wont have anything to do with this religion except ill have to pay my own bills and such. Now I just got accepted to Texas A&M and University of Texas, and I want to go to UT but my parents wont support me for that. Im starting my FAFSA as I type this, Im going to try to claim as independent, and Im doing the same for my W-4 form, but I dont know if i could do that if I still live with my parents. I also applied for this full college ride scholarship with the navy and im confident that Ill get it. But Ill definitely need money for college, my parents will support me if I go to Texas A&M. If I do stay Ill have a vehicle and if I leave I wont have a vehicle. If i get accepted for the navy scholarship ill have to go through some training over the summer. Im thinking I should stay home and move out until Im financially safe stable. On the other hand I dont want to be stuck living in this home, not sure if theyll keep their end of the deal. And on the other hand this navy scholarship will make things easier for now and what I want to do in the future.

What Is Your Biggest Regret Because You Were a Jehovah's Witness?
by minimus ingrowing up as a witness makes it nearly impossible to deal with the "world", as a child.
constant pressure is put on witness kids to conform.
most lead a "double life" out of necessity.

i regret not being able to bond with my friends in the past, im working on it since this is my senior year. i regret not being able to play school sports or be in the clubs. i regret myself acting how i did to non witnesses thinking that why should i start a friendship if its impossible? but this senior year, when i met a girl from work, who knew my situation, invited me to parties, taught me how to live, who loved me, gave me the courage to stand up. this school year is the best despite all of the arguements with my parents. ive been hanging out with my friends at school, im in clubs, the friends i had at the kingdom hall turned on me becuase they acted "wordly" like me and regretted it. im going to college, and hoping that this navy scholarship will accept so it can cover all of my college. ill be out by november hopefully. im still having a little trouble socialising with some because of the bad feeling i get with them from the past. but i got over it with one of my friends, and ive learned a lot from her, such as her crush on me, and other stuff.

after the meeting an elder came up to him to tell him that bulletin is a negative word and to say information board next time.

6 months till im 18. im in the top 5%, im pretty smart. i have the choice of enlisting the navy. or going to college far from here with the NROTC scholarship. or going to a college locally with my parents help but i would still have to go to the meetings.

jesus, with that logic they might as well abandon their lives and go live in the woods.
and heres some more jw idiocies. i tried growing a shag once for the hell of it and i got lots of comments at the meetings, idiot comments and good comments, and i noticed they made lots of announcements on dress and grooming during that time, but i didnt care. i just recently got my hair styled again and im letting the hair on my chin grow, will i get comments about that too?
now my friends in the hall, ive had for all my life. we drank, watched R movies, they would come over to my house and watch porn, and they knew i went to worldly parties and had a gf. we were going to go to cancun together on thanksgiving week. i thought they were pretty cool for uptight witnesses. but i dont know who, either one of em or both of em ratted me out and canceled their plans to go to cancun with me. one of their dads who is an elder came to my house to talk to me and my parents, and i found out what was happening and brought them down with me. i get a phone call from one of my friends telling me to confess my sins, that ill feel better, that i shouldnt lie to my parents, or use my phone after the meeting, or drink. and this dude was way like me but for some reason he changed. i go to the meetings now and they treat me like im disfellowshipped. its bad enough already that i have a hard time trying to hang out with my non jehovahs witness friends. like this sunday, i have plans to go to a study group, but i wont even be able to go to that.
