Did Cornelius or any other Gentile Christian men have beards? Did the apostles make them grow one so as not to stumble anyone?

If U "Bugged" Bethel: What Would U Hear?
by Mindchild ini'm just curious to know if there would be anything sensational to discover if you somehow managed to listen in on or record a meeting of the "power" elite at bethel or a gb session.. would you just be listening to some senile old men droning on about the bible or do you think it would be something that would be scandalous to the max for your average dub?
i know that c of c talked a bit about the meetings the gb had and for the most part it sounded pretty boring to me.
but i wonder where the really juicy stuff is talked about?

Nice post Geordie. Love the Brit expression Bullox!
I have a goatee now, so I only have to shave maybe twice a week - it's great. I was over at my JW mom's for dinner recently and when I walked in my non JW aunt and my grandparents said "OHHH, we love the new look, the goatee looks fantastic on you". My mom and the rest of the JW family all pretended they hadn't heard what was just said.

Have you ever been there? It's less than a 2hr drive for me. You should try it this summer. We go a lot during summer. In the winter though paradise for us is Bermuda, Jamaica, French Riviera...ever tried those places? Very attainable for me. -

Is it any wonder then that most of the Elders are pompous, arrogant, self-righteous SOB's. The WTS is creating MONSTERS with this kind of rhetoric!

Paradise becomes a Prison
by JAVA inwhile doing some research, i came across a cnn.com article, nov. 18, 1998, about the jonestown massacre, and reflections 20 years after.
one subtopic, "paradise becomes a prison," caused flashbacks from my time in the tower.
towards the end, i felt like a prisoner serving time.

Coincidentally, look at this note i just emailed a friend:"..there really is NO way to get through to them with critical information. That's why they are considered a cult.
The WTS always defends itself against that charge by saying that cults take people away to live on a compound or camp or something so that people from the outside can't get to them to try to get them out of the group. Then they say that 'we are not like that, JW's live in your community, they are your neighbours..' etc etc.
But mentally they are all in a camp with high walls. You can't get in, you can't get out. You get shot trying to get over the wall."I was in their camp for 24 years.

A jug of ice cold Long Island Iced Tea, hot sun, at Ocean City NJ, wife by my side, watching my little boy play in the sand.
That is attainable and REAL. Not fantasy.
