It's an act of deception...a sneaky way to get their foot in the door. Doesn't seem honest does it?
That's how I felt. I live in a fairly small town and can't imagine that there is a large hearing impaired population here.

I asked what kind of volunteer group. She evaded a straight answer by replying a religious one. That annoyed me that she wasn't more forthcoming so I asked which denomination. She finally said JW's. Being the nasty person that I am, I said I wouldn't point anyone to that cult. I said it is a cult and that I knew all about it. They started hotfooting it away, but I yelled that I thought it was disingenuous of them to not say who they were in the first place.
Anyway, is this just a new campaign strategy or is the Borg really looking out for the deaf?

Mormon conspiracy on Dancing with the Stars?
by undercover inokay...i admit it...i watch dancing with the stars.... i mean what red-blooded male doesn't wanna see those hot female dancing instructors shaking their hips in their slinky, sexy outfits?
and i'm sure the girls are all hot for the male instructors.. anyway...marie osmond has made it to the finals of the competition.
while she's not a bad dancer, she's definitely not in the same class as mel b or helio castronoves.

I don't think it's so much a Mormon conspiracy. I just think a lot of people really like Marie. I mean she's almost 50 and has 8 kids. I think a lot of us old broads vote for her for that very reason.
Plus, there are an awful lot of Osmonds.

My dad died June 22. He was my best friend. I talked to him every day, cherishing every conversation because I knew how frail he was even though he was still very active. Sure enough, he got pneumonia and couldn't overcome it. He was 83.
I miss him every day. He was my Daddy.

What was your first car?
by nicolaou inmine was an old fiat 127, i bought it 1983 and it was at least fifteen years old then!
the seats were vinyl and there were no rear seatbelts so i could send my girlfriend and her sister flying with each bend in the road!
it wouldn't go above 55mph and was rattling like rollercoaster when it finally got there.. the rear window fell out and it finally croaked in puff of blue/black smoke.

This was mine. My dad paid $75 for it and we painted it Midnight Blue. Not a bad car. My next was a 1960 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88. Hated it. Then I bought my 1967 Pontiac Firebird. Wish I still had it.

You won't believe this: a KH turned into a church!!!
by observador inabout two years ago i posted here some pictures of a kingdom hall for sale.
that was quite something to me; had never seen something like it; never thought i would.
always thought that a progressive, ever increasing true religion would be always building and expanding, not selling.. but what wasn't my surprise when i passed by the other day and the damn hall had been sold; worse, the old, glorious hall had become a, gasp... a church!!.

Past few days have been very emotional for me ,when will it get better ?
by troubled mind insince my mom passed in january my dad has wanted me to go through her things and clear out her bedroom.
i procrastinated long enough so the past two days i have been sorting through it all .
i feel like i have been punched in the gut .

METH. It is every where and like a plague

she has three kids and is very nice.
i did not do things with her away from work, but talk to her every day.

That stuff is what made my husband now my ex. He was shooting it up. I didn't even know for the longest time. It turned him into a completely different person. One therapist said he had permanent organic brain damage.
Meth totally wrecks lives. Recently, in a house just down the street from my father's, a couple that had been married for years ended up shooting and killing each other. Authorities think it was because of her meth use.
