  Movie Clips That Have Made You Flinch

  dear all,.

  there's not much that makes me wince, not at the movies anyway, but those things that have, have inevitably stayed in the memory.. i saw it a long time ago at the cinema, but the reservoir dogs scene where michael madsen cuts a policeman's ear off to the track stuck in the middle with you, was one such scene.

  certainly couldn't watch it again.

  ok, yesterday was my onsite second interview.

  it went well and i had a very nice time.

  Josie, congratulations on making it this far. A second interview means you are really in the running. Did you remember to write the thank you suck up letter telling them they are the greatest employer in the world? Sometimes that really helps too.

  I'm lucky. Today is the last day at my current job as an accountant at a large hospital. On March 1 I will be starting as an accountant at the regional Hospice organization which is much smaller and more personal. I'm very excited. In the mean time, I and a friend are going to take on Las Vegas for 4 days.

  i was just remembering how one day i told my good friend that bed mattresses are made out of cigarette butts.

  well i must have been very convincing because about a week later i happened to over hear her telling someone else about this 'fact'.

  i had to quickly stop her and tell her that i had only been joking!.

  One time my sister was feeding the fish in my aquarium. She had one of those cubes of dried tubifex (sp) worms in her hand. I told her not to hang on to it too long or else they would start squirming. She dropped it like it was hot.

  Wonder why she got so mad when I started laughing.

  that is why i want to share with my online friends that my beagle, remington, is very ill and i would appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.

  he is only 8-yrs-old and is my baby.

  yesterday morning, while repairing the hose valve outside, i saw a cat in the garage.

  he came to me and was rubbing against my legs.

  since i already have a cat, and i happened to be at my parents house, and they don't want any animal on their lot, i just pet the cat once, and went inside.

  Yes, here are two of them. Bear was a 3 month old puppy I found along side of the road. I was going to take him to the animal shelter but he kept looking up at me with those brown eyes. He's now 11 years old and possibly the most ill-behaved dog in the world.

  Little Girl dropped into my back yard (literally) as a tiny kitten. I have no idea where she came from but I took her in and she's now 14 years old.

  Health-Chronic Urticaria(hives)

  well, chronic urticaria gives me another sleepless night with itching like crazy.

  i think it's called chronic pruritus(itching).

  whatever, i'm ready to jump out a window --- wouldn't do much good because we have only one story ... but it might surprise the coyotes!.

  OMG Panda, I didn't know this could be chronic. Just a couple of weeks ago I broke out in hives and then the swelling. I ended up going to the emergency room at the insistence of my neighbor who's an EMT. Anyway, they gave me a small shot of epinephrine and the prednisone for 5 days.

  Have you been to an allergist? I'm going in a couple of weeks because this has happened before and the severeness of the swelling and the frequency are worsening. I don't want to waste the money if this a chronic thing with no known cause. I can't ever correllate this happening with any kind of exposure.

  PETA Protest Backfires

  a human inside an injured-chicken costume, hobbling in protest on the sidewalk wednesday in front of a kentucky fried chicken restaurant, didnt achieve the desired effect, according to many who dined there.. brad steig called wednesdays protest in grand junction by the people for the ethical treatment of animals good advertising for kfc.. the protest consisted of four adults and one child holding signs in front of the restaurant, handing out fliers and dvds and urging people to not eat at kfc until the restaurant buys chickens from humane vendors.. steig, a manager for halliburton, said he heard about the peta protest on the radio and decided right then to eat at kfc on wednesday, the day of the protest.. not only that, but he bought seven of the biggest buckets of chicken and all the side dishes and used four trips to load them into his halliburton pickup to treat his co-workers.

  i don't know if there's an "ultimate" right-wingers' fantasy, but collecting 7 buckets of fried chicken in a halliburton pick-up in front of a peta protester must come pretty close.
