  "Left Behind" Series Gets Left Behind

  it seems that the writers of the scarey vision of the apocalypse that the left behind series creates aren't happy about alternative views of what the book of revelation means.

  tyndale house, which publishes the left behind books, are publishing a new series of fiction based on revelation, this time giving the preterist view an airing.

  preterism assumes that most of the events of revelation happened in the first century.

  I thought they were printed in so that they guaranteed the authors and the publisher the greatest return. Each book was almost double spaced and the print was large. I think the whole series could have probably fit into a regular sized Steven King novel.

  I only made it through the first 4 or 5 because I lost all interest when the metal bugs or whatever they were started flying.

  the scene outside my window is truly a delight.

  last night a light snow fell and the trees, barren of leaves, are now cloaked in white.

  the sun reflects off the ground and everywhere there is light.

  The last few days in the "Banana Belt" of Colorado we have received record amounts of snow - 6 inches and record cold temperatures of 4 below zero. Usually it's in the 40's.

  The snow is supposed to stay in the mountains as far as I'm concerned.

  This has got me thinking... something else I have noticed is how JWs have an unconscious "disgust" reflex when they see or interact with it.

  Oh yeah. My husband gets totally weirded out when he damages himself and needs me to put on a band-aid, like blood is akin to poison or something. Bizarre.

  But can anyone name the film where they invent a helmet/machine thingy that can record and playback thoughts. Someone has a heart attack and dies while wearing one and then someone else plays it back. It's not Flatliners.

  I think you're talking about Natalie Wood's last movie "Brainstorm."

  There was a Kingdom Hall here in Grand Junction that was sold and used as a VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) hall for years. Thought that was pretty ironic.

  I followed everyone over from H2O. I can remember the discussion about this being a pro-JW site at the time and someone saying "Simon isn't such a bad guy."
