  it came today, the dreaded envelope containing my personal copy of "return to jehovah" from my elderly, desperate mother.

  it included a small note asking me to read it over and to let her know what i think.

  she got it at her assembly.. firstly, i'm angry that she continues to push her religion on me, given that i stopped attending meetings over thirty years ago, and very offended that she assumes that i still want to be a witness, which is her choice of religion, not mine.

  example i have a friend that is df the elders are jumpimg on his parents who are witnesses because he comes over and helps them around the house fixes there car so god said honer mothet and father elders say no they have made word of god invalid.

  a true life example i have a friend that is disfellowshipped the elders do not want to reinstate because he helps his elderly parents to much ie mow lawn help when theres car trouble etc so shunning is like corbin bro pharisee

  as i see it, the organization as a whole is a family, and like most, it is dysfunctional.

  you have the parents in those taking the lead (gb, elders, overseers, etc.
