Being a co must suck definetly esp for the wives. They can't have kids am if I'm not mistaken. Or at least counseled against it. I know me personally I took a road trip 2 summers ago after I graduated from h.s thinking it was gonna be so cool to live out of a suticase for a coupke months, always being able to go somewhere new an dexciting. HECK NO! It was a nightmare. ALways having to pack and unpack wrinkly clothes, sleeping on someone else's bed, not having my own space to blow dry my hair or walk around naked in my lviing room. ALways worrying about being too loud or too quiet. I feel sorry for them. But there women and in this organization a women has no voice.

POST YOUR REALLY HARD JW QUESTIONS HERE SO I CAN CALL BRANCH
by tresbella ini plan to call up the branch office and pose as an 'interested one' and ask a bunch of difficult questions i am almost positive no jw witness will be able to ansewr.
1. if the supposed "light is getting brighter" then does that not mean that it is possile that many of the teachings that the society is teaching now may be false such as blood transfusions and the 1914 teaching?
2. since any witness who speaks against the wt and refutes one of their teachings and is therefore disfellowshipped for it, what if the very teaching that they spoke against turned out to be wrong later on?

I plan to call up the branch office and pose as an 'interested one' and ask a bunch of difficult questions I am almost positive no JW witness will be able to ansewr. SO far I have:
Does that mean that person is reinstated for being right all along? For example, organ transplants were seen as a form of cannibalism in the early 1950's by the wittnesses and so therefore considered a reason for disfellwoshippment if one had one. But now that teaching has been reversed. Does that mean anyone who went against that teaching was to be reinstated?
3. If the light is getting "brighter and brighter" then explain this"
1954: the use of blood fractions were not allowed
1958: society reverses their decison and blood fractions are allowed
1961: blood fractions again are not allowed
1964: blood fraction are allowed again.
Seems to me the light is blinking a bit doesn't it?
4. A recent Awake article stated that fornication is not only defined as " sexual intercourse between two unmarried individuals" but also includes both oral and what the awake called (multiple masturbation; basically feeling each other up) and thus such ones are NOT considered virgins in the eyes of God. (what is this the twilight zone??!!! multiple masturbation???!!! ) Yet the Bible never mentions such acts as fornication and the awake had no such scripture to back up this claim.
So if anyone has any really good quesitons let me know.

I think I was like 14. Up until I meant my best friend and we started hanging out with here sister I realized that not all JW youths are the goody goodys you always read about in the WT. Many of the youths date within the con. in secret ahve 'formals" (which are really proms for JW youths) of course the WT found out about these and counseled against them.Anyway I thingk my first movie was like something like Nightmare on Elm Street or somethin.

BRAINWASHING ON BLOOD ISSUE FROM SUNDAY'S WT
by tresbella inits funny how when you are someone who has grown up a jw you take everything you read in the wt and awakes as fact.
you are never taught to discern or analyze what you read.
and when the society speaks of 'doing research is always in the bond volumes or other lit.

Its funny how when you are someone who has grown up a JW you take everything you read in the WT and Awakes as fact. You are never taught to discern or analyze what you read. And when the Society speaks of 'doing research is always in the bond volumes or other lit. Never in "wordly publications. Anyway, at my sunday meeting the June 15 wt article: Rightly Value Your Gift of Life was being studied ( a 2 part series leading up to the society's new issue on blood transfusions involving blood fractions and plasma) and its amazing how my keen eye found such inconsitincies in the article:
(p.17) "Some churches emphasize Jesus' death, their adherents saying things such as "Jesus died for me." (a sister commented on how that statement is innapproriate to say; who knew? ) Consider how some Bible translations render Ephesians 1:7: "It is in him and through his death we have deliverance; that is; putting away our offences (american Bible) "By the death of Christ we are set free, and our sins are forgiven." (today's english version) and etc.
"Really if you had to depend on such translations you might overlook a very important point, and this could limit your understanding of the Bible's message. SUch renderings obscure the fact that the original text of Ephesians 1:7 contains a Greek Word that means "blood." (NO FOOTNOTE IS INDICATED; NO SOURCE TO THIS "ORIGIANL 'GREEK TEXT.') Thus many Bible such as the NWT, comes closer to the original: "By means of him we have the release by ransom through the blood of that one, yes the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his undeserved kindness."
Why isn't there any quote from these supposed original greek texts? There were 4 different quotes printed from other Bible translations to refute there statements with Jesus' death being used but all of a sudden the Wt pulls up there translation without any backing for it?
OH! And here is the best one! (p.21)
" Some may imagine that the governing body simply meant the Christians were not to eat or drink blood directly nor to eat unbled meat or food mixed with blood. Granted, that was the first import of God's command to Noah... However, the early Christians knew that more was involved. (NO SCRIPTURE TO JUSTIFY THIS STATEMENT) Sometimes, blood was taken in for medical reasons. Tertuliiam (who the heck is this guy; nowhere is he stated in any other paragraph! this drove me crazy) Tertuliiam noted that in an effort to cure epilepsy , some pagans consumed fresh blood. And there have been other uses of blood to treat disease or supposdly improve their health. Hence, for Christians, shunning blood included not taking it in for "medical" reasons. They maintained that stand even if put their life at risk. (HAS ANYONE HERE EVER HEARD OF A BIBLE ACCOUNT OF SOMEONE WHO HAD TO SHUN THE "PAGAN RITUALS" OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO TOOK IN BLOOD IN ORDER TO CURE A DIESEASE?)
Whoa! I mean this one little paragraph is what can determine the life or death of all JW's and yet there is not ONE scripture to back up a single statment made. I still do not know who the heck this Tertuliam guy is and why was he is even mentioned without any type of footnote or source as to who he was. Number 2: Blood being taken in by the pagans for medical reasons most likely meant they consumed it by drinking it since obvioulsy, blood tranfusions did not exsist during those times. And we all know drinking blood is not that same as taking it in. Hence, the paragraph says that there may have been other uses of blood to treat diesease or supposdly improve health. Yeah and there may have been acorbats during those times too, who knows. Again, putting the thought into one's mind that just b/c pagans may have 'consumed blood for medical reasons IN A COMPLEYTLY DIFFERENT METHOD THEN THEY DO NOW that we "as christins" should not. Tell me if i"m wrong on this.

Does any one know what C T Russell died from??
by frankiespeakin ini know the wt has said why knorr and rutherford died but not russell.
this omission seems somewhat strange, being that he was so prominant his followers would naturally be curious as to the cause of death of their beloved leader.
here is a clip from 1916 12/1/1916 wt concerning his death no mention of what caused it.. http://www.ctrussell.us/.

tresbella
Usually when the reason of death is not listed its usually assumed that it was simply old age.

You can't deny it was a good message and I can see why they won the award. It's the hypocrisy behind it that..well.. sucks

Ahhh! Those dreaded elders meetings! Who's had one and what was it about? Was it something as serious as someone heard from Bro. Brown's wife's sister's cousin seeing you come out of a nightclub Or maybe something so dumb and trivial you wonder where the elders get the time to play Men In Blcak. Share your stories ol' fallen ones of the "truth"!

ON A PERSONAL NOTE
by tresbella indoes anyone think it is wrong to still be a 'wittness' on the outside in order to ensure their family's love and support even though they know inside their living the "double life" i mean i want my family at my wedding and help me buy my first apartment.
i think certain familllies cannot bear the idea of one of their own "falling from the truth" (so it goes) so its a secret i hide.
but my long time boyfriend says i should tell my family how i really feel when we become engaged (he's not a wittness) in the future.

What do ya'll think?

Simple Questions that Jehovah's Witnesses cannot readily answer...
by joenobody insome do not like to discuss doctrinal issues with elders etc.
when leaving the org or studying feeling inadequate.. .
i present for your consumption some very simple questions to ask that reveal motives and objectives to use in lieu of doctrinal debates.

I knew of a pioneer sister who has been a wittness nearly all her life who was in the process of JUST going back to school (about 45 at the time) She admitted that many of the older pioneer sisters that she knew were trying to go back to school and get a REAL education insetead of just some minimal wage trade because of the SOciety's counsel on the end coming sooner then we expect and a collge education is not necessasry. This is a woman who is middle aged, a husband who is an elder with the skills of no more then a scretary. kinda sad when you think about it.

Still a wittness as far as my family and "friends" know. I was baptized at 14 but stopped bothering to turn in time about a year ago. What a pleasant way for the society to keep tracks on their slaves. Those damn time slips! I dread field service but go sometimes to keep my mom off my ass. The elders will NEVER ever get the chance to disfellowship me! They never can as long as I deny anything they may find out about. And where are you gonna get "2 wittnesses" to find out if i'm comminting fornication anyway?
