I remember how I felt reading the ideas of others for the first time; guilt mainly, I felt strange, didn't like it one bit.
Years of being taught to close my mind was a real mental barrier.
Am I glad I listened! I feel like I've really seen the light, and although I go through much anger at the WT, the relief of no longer being a slave to the GB is indescribable. -

Have you ever had a friend or relative return after a long time and they seem to have changed in appearance?
Their partner may have never noticed the change, which although drastic, occurred in small increments over a relatively long period of time.
It is the same in the organisation; their beliefs of fifty years ago would get you before a judicial commitee today, and their beliefs now will get you hung, drawn and quartered in ten years time.
But ask any witness about this, and he will stare at you with glazed eyes and will say "the light just gets brighter, it is Jehovah's will, we must trust the organisation, Jehovah uses imperfect men to tell of his wisdom, we must not doubt what the faithfull and discreet slave tell us!"
And they trully believe this and doubt not, for they do not know. -

Does the light of truth really get brighter?
by sleepy inheres a way that i think shows that the witness idea that the "light is getter brighter " is flawed.. the reason often given for it being the case that jehovahs only reveals things graduly is that if he revealed things all at once it would be too much for a person to take.they would be "blinded" by the knowledge.. so on this reasoning then we must concluded that before 1995 people were not able to cope with the idea that "this generation" was not talking about poeple born in 1914, the light would have blinded them.. in that case why does this new light not blind people who come into the religon today?.
they have gone straight from the "darkness" into the most resently revealed light surely they must be blinded and would need first to learn all the past knowledge that is now considered wrong before they could cope with this new light.. this idea is so stupid.. children who are born today will learn straight away about the way the world works they will learn of gravity , spelling and maths in school.things that people living hundreds or thousands of years ago did not know.
since when has accurate knowledge "blinded" someone?.

You are absolutely right, but it gets worse...
some light (and others can probably quote more examples) such as in the case of blood policy, the new light has changed one way and then back again.
This means either God keeps changing his mind, or the light is getting brighter, then darker... then brighter again, or truth changes over time (shall we call this The Dub Theory Of Relativity) OR...
that the rules and interpretations are made up by mere humans as they see fit.
It's time for them to come clean before I go ballistic!!!!!

The link to the Watchtower publications indicates the UN were using the Watchtowers library, not visa versa!
Did the UN have a Watchtower library card, or did they need to be an un-baptised NGO associated to the Watchtower? -

JW trying to keep others out
by JT inyou will love this from wol- the (* km has told all jw not to put up any sites since you don't know who you are dealing with the slave has spoken but the rank and file jw doesn't want to be obedient to the slave.
so they struggle as to how to be disobedient to the slave.
their comments reveal the sick mindset of the jw in action as they try to decide how to setup a forum.

I've got a good idea for a constructive chain letter: it starts with one of us emailing all the names and addresses of witnesses we know onto 5 other posters. these add their names and addresses and mail them onto 5 more, and add the senders name to the senders in the cc section. This way all senders will receive copies of an ever growing mailing list which with 5 names and addresses each would be ... er (I can't work it out) several thousand after a few increments.
Then we have a mailing list to send witnesses some of our research and as we would all have the mailing list, they would get a lot of spiritual food.p.s. can anyone work the sum out?
