  are you good enough to attend an international 2003 district conventions?.

  other threads have brought up the subject of the planned 2003 district conventions ( http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=34494&site=3 ), but do you qualify to attend a convention in another land?.

  according to the official letter, no one is to make private travel arrangements but must go through the official channels.

  another shunning experience

  vivamus' post reminded me of some of my shunning experiences and one i had recently.

  twice i have been doing yard work in the front of my house and my "annointed" jw mother and her car group have pulled up and parked right there in front of my house.

  they get out, dressed up, bookbags, literature.

  He looked at me, gulped hard, nodded like a deer caught in the headlights, and walked away, head hanging down. I almost burst out laughing. I mean, they seemed utterly frightened......of me!!!

  I know, their mentality is weird. I remember when I was still a JW, whenever I would see an ex-dub, I nearly got an heart attach, 'naturally' I shunned them, but I got a shock whenever I saw them.

  So, we shall just love m to death he?

  child kidnappings, serial killers, wars, suicide and homicide bombers and more problems than you shake stick at.

  Okay, I'll listen to Jan and elaborate on my "no". Bad things have always happened, this time is no different. Stocks are going down, well they also did that before, and they also went up again. Flood, famine, disease, all has happened before, for example just look at the plaques of the middle ages.

  Now, it is true you could give the argument that the bible says people would mock the prophesy of it being the last days. And then use that as a proof But with that argument you'll win every case, excuse the words, but it is just a lame argument to say "the bible says there will be people who mock us for it and since you are mocking, this is the end of days.".
