  What does your jewellery say about you?

  the other day we went to a christening for one of andy's grand nephew's.

  andy's neice is half aussie half italian and her husband is full italian...so what a grandiose affair it was...i loved every minute of it.

  the first thing i noticed was all the gold...every male wore a gold necklace, usually italian gold and not aussie gold - apparently.

  What does your jewellery say about you?

  That I inherited some stuff. I hardly ever wear this. It is old fashioned, quite beautiful, but not really my taste for everyday life,

  That my mum has spoiled me. This I wear a lot. I always wear my gold watch, with a small gold bracelet next to it. And for my other wrist I wear to golden bracelets, and a golden ring in the shape of a snake on my thump.

  That I like to dress up when I want to impress or need attitude. Like weaning my pendant with a huge mother of pearl and matching earrings for the Kingdom hall last time I went.

  That I like to show I will NEVER go back to the Kingdom Hall again. I have got myself a handful of various crosses, that I also wear on a daily basis. They vary from little and cute, to big an showy. But they are all extremely dear to me.

  That I like different styles. I will wear gold and expensive next to little beady trinkets that I got at the mall.

  but i had a comment to make about the jehvah's witnesses which i will still have some contact with for a litte while.

  hubby has always believed it to be the "truth" and always will.

  i got lost yesterday.

  after the funeral the entire family gathered at my grans house, close to the sea.

  seven of my cousins, my friend and me, decided to go for a little walk we were all still in our best suits for the funeral, some us wore high heels, but common sense does not rule in my family, and so we walked into this nature wilderness.

  my family has decided to shun me.

  last week my brother and my husband got in a heated debate and finally my brother asked him why he doesn't believe in the jw's and he said because there religion is based on a lie.

  well my parents found out and now have decided the best thing to do is shun me.

You're sister is not too happy with this either, from what I read, and so I hope that she will keep coming to you, and you go to the gym together?   After the funeral the entire family gathered at my grans house, close to the sea. Seven of my cousins, my friend and me, decided to go for a little walk We were all still in our best suits for the funeral, some us wore high heels, but common sense does not rule in my family, and so we walked into this nature wilderness.

  It has been raining here in Holland for the past days, and so there were deep pools of water and because of that, we got sidetracked from the path, and got stranded somewhere in an area that was close to a swamp. Oh lord, just thinking back on it makes me tired again. All we had to go by was one landmark, far in the distance, that we recognized.

  My 17 year old cousin jumped across a pool and slipped. Nothing serious so we all laughed our asses off. And about 30 minutes later it was payback because I stepped on a seemingly solid blade of grass. Which turned out to be anything but solid. I sank into the mud with my left leg, well above my knee. My friend [yes, I made him pay dearly that night, hehe], practically rolled on the ground laughing, and so my cousin had to pull me out of it. We must have spend nearly three hours, while we climbed over fences, barbed wire, mud pools etc. cross the fields until we finally reached the landmark we had recognized.

  When we came back, the only one that was not covered in mud and soaking wet was my five year old cousin. We all had carried him in shifts cause we did not want the wrath of his mom on our shoulders. Honestly, we came into the living room, and were greeted by a roar of laughter. I dont know what was worse, being soaking wet, or seeing my mum with tears streaming across her face from laughter at the sight of me..

  Thanx everyone. The actual funeral yesterday was beautiful. There were close to 200 people. My four oldest cousins carried my gran to her last restingplace. all the speakers were excellent, even if I do say so myself. In short, it was a beautiful tribute to my grandma, I am very happy about it.

  the new star trek movie, "nemesis" is premiering on december 13, 2002. i am really looking forward to it.

  although i grew up with the original, i must admit to a certain fondness for the next generation and to captain picard.

  We entered fairly early, the elders had decided that since I refused to sit in the back, the family had to arrive first and leave first. This was to ensure there would be no condolences. Well, the elders did not get their way. Three of my aunts and uncles came, three cousins, my mum and me [only a small part of the family]. We had the front row, were we all sat. And every brother and sister came to us to offer us condolences. A few exceptions, but most JW kisses me, hugged me and asked me to come back cause they missed me. Isnt that sweet?

  During this display one of my cousins got a bit panicked, she got all of these visions that I would return and so she could stop poking her elbow into my side. Lol, so I turned to hear and told her not to worry, I am never going back. Some brothers and sisters naturally heard this, haha.

  The funeral talk itself was BORING. Three minutes were devoted into telling how spiritual my grandma was, the rest was Kingdom babble.

  I must admit, it wasnt as bad as I expected, quite the contrary actually. I was not shunned, they were nice to me and I managed to keep a strait face throughout everything, even when my former best friend came to me and told me she missed me. Ah well.

  Today is the actual funeral, which is going to be beautiful. I am one of the speakers, and so if youll all excuse me, I am going to make myself beautiful and nervous.
