A pious sneer friend of mine went to the P School, in the early 80s. They were told:
1: You are an example to the congo.
Therefore
2: If you hear a dirty joke and find it funny you must not laugh or show it is funny.
3: Even if you have not had time to pre study the witchtower for Sunday, put marks on the paragraph, so people looking will not think you are slacking.

Talk about contradiction!! A precaution is okay, otherwise shut the #### up and die.

i often hear are the meeting the interchanging of names between jehovah and jesus.
it seems like the sheeple drones at the meeting have no real clue about the bible or how to believe.

They don't even talk about "da troof"anymore when socialising. It is like James Penton said. When almost an entire Congo worth were seceding from the Borg, a special talk was given, with Beth Hell heavies attending. Freaky Freddie Franz was there, and he shrieked "in heavily accented Spanish that "you should only study the bible at the Kingdumb hall, not at home!" " (Apocalypse Delayed) Also how Bethel slaves were told not to do bible study, instead take up some hobby.
This is a balanced unbiased history book, as he does not grind any axes, or take sides in his accounts of Russell's divorce, or the various power struggles. He has excellent credentials.
Also interesting is his account of one woman in front of a JC Inquisition, who was treated so viciously she collapsed, and an ambulance was called. They DFed her even though she was too ill to attend any more star chamber sessions. In fact the purges he describes are equal to any by Ray Franz, Dogpatch or Olaf Jonsson.
Apocalypse Delayed - which I just read - can be borrowed from OPENLIBRARY.ORG - an excellent resource. There are plenty of free PDFs around for Ray Franz and Jonssons books which I also finished over the last few days.
I am more convinced than ever that there is no spirit of real Christianity in this sham religion.

Singing, dancing, etc at Int. Conv's, pushed by top leadership?
by WingCommander inover the past several months, we've seen a flood of youtube video's showing not just the advertising of the cities for the international conventions, but also of the "entertainment" happening at various convention halls and congregations.
examples would be the line-dancing, worldly music, dancing outside the conventions, etc.
many of us who grew up in this ultra-strict, thou-shalt-not cult are left with our jaws on the floor at this seemingly "worldly" display of showy, excessive, mainstream behaviour.. progress is happening.

One former dub, started talking about jesus, and was criticised as sounding like a "born again" - he said it's a strange sort of christian that soesnt talk about christ. He ended up DF, after a particularly vicious campaign of villification and harrassment, which included a number of witlesses turning up and his mothers funeral, and deliberately turning their backs to him as he walked towards the grave. I gather the CO had gotten directions from beth hell on how to get rid of him.
