just wondering if youve noticed the same thing.
last few assemblies ive ever visited ive noticed frequently one phrase brother so and so, an elder, etc, and also running his own business ive heard this time and time again when theyd introduce someone to preset their experience and if im not wrong even once or twice when theyve introduced a new speaker.. .
ive also heard from others who have noticed the same lately though most of them are interpreting it along the lines well, it is just a good example of how it is possible to be a self-employed witness and not be part of this corrupt business world.

a bible called "the kingdom interlinear bible" before they wrote the "new world translation bible".. she also told me there were differences in the translations of some of these scriptures.. can anyone tell me which scriptures are different?.
The scripture translated "Whatever you ask in my name will be given you" actually says " whatever you ask me in my name will be given you" in the greek.
Also where the great crowd is standing is the "divine dwelling habitation" (ie heaven, where all the others are said to be.
Just saying that the NWT correctly translates a verse such and such doesn't make it so.

my brother, who has been dfed for many, many years is going to a baptist church.
he just started attending recently and had a discussion with the baptist minister about the trinity.
my brother still believes many doctrines of the jw's.
In French John 1:1 is "la parole etait dieu"
It is a descriptive statement, like
"M Lebrun etait medicin." Mr Lebrun was a doctor.
To add "un" here would turn the phrase into a statement of number not quality or occupation.
Mr Lebrun was ONE doctor.
The WTS so misunderstands this that they INSISTED that in france rules of grammar were broken in the NWT and inserted "UN" so John 1:1 in the french NWT is "la parole etait UN dieu." I cringe at such ignorance.
Probably they have also overlooked the fact that Ukrainian and other slavic tongues lack the indefinite article and will make fools of themselves there too.

Do you remember how they used to say at assemblies that if you exceed the speed limit the angels leave your car?
Even as a kid I wondered why a JW in Germany (where there is no speed limit on the autobahns) would still have the angel in his car at 150 mph, but in America he would be soo scared if the driver went faster than 55 mph he would fly away. In any case such an argument implies belief in guardian angels.
My mother knows a family where their kids were roasted alive in a car after an accident. Just terrible.
I don't care who it happens to, but I just feel what a waste of life. My concept of the "divine" I hope, is far more loving than the dubs. ( Are they "worthy" of a resurrection?)
